Until you actually have them then compare it to your ZX interior and I'm sure you'll change your opinion

I agree totally.....No stress of yourself when you're rolling down the LH window, ;p one press button down the window goes off automatically while you're driving.:D

i have owned the fancy interiored Land Cruisers
i have owned the sparten interiored Land Cruisers

i drive the sparten as my favorite ride ...

KISS principle in action.

As long as its got power steering, air con/heater,and something to listen to,I cant see the need for anything else.

You forgot the heated leather seats, GPS, built in fridge, 12 cup holders, self dimming mirror with built in temp. gauge and compass, and multiple DVD screens......:D

The HJ75 were a good rig and still are .

I would pay $18,000 for a very tidy one if that what I was looking for .

Having said that every thing is dearer over here.

The quote about rust scares me a little, they should show what they are talking about.

If indeed it is just paint chips, for $13K I'd be there in 3 hours with a check

While I certainly do not speak for the seller, I assume they would be willing to photo the questionable areas upon request.
Anyone who has been involved in the buying, shipping and customs process with a 70 Series can tell you it is quite expensive to get the vehicle stateside so I doubt there are any "bargains" out there.

I like my zx seats and electric windows.
I would prefer to have a vinyl floor to be honest and no sun roof. The sun roof is nice but I just don't want to deal with it ever breaking down then it's going to be a Fxxxing headache. I'll cross that bridge when it gets here. If that even happens.
Vinyl is just easy. You all know why.

as Wayne said spartan. If I ever get the opportunity to get a mine truck I really just want nice seats. Everything else vinyl and roll up!

"I really just want nice seats" .......I would suggest "skinny" seats to create the illusion of more leg room. ( something that is lacking in early 70 Series Cruisers).

Being 6'7" has something to do with that.
Even sitting in a lhd vs rhd 70 series one will notice that there is more room on the lhd side.

At 6' 7" you need to open that sunroof.:D I am only 5' 11" and I just barely fit in the HJ75.

sunroof takes away from head space. I have more in my 77 than a 81.
I have sat in a lhd 75 series and it was tight but manageable. Really a lhd 79 is more suitable

I meant for you to stick your head through the sun roof opening. :D
Remember to wear goggles to keeps the bugs out of your eyes

leg room

That brings up a good question, how much difference is there in leg room between the 75 and 79 series?

The heated leather seats would be torture,I have had the aircon off for 8 weeks now. I got the fridge though, nothing like a turkey and salad sandwich with an icy cold beer/coke in the middle of no where when its 43c:D

The rest of those things Ive never had and dont miss them.

Im 6.2 and legroom is tight,so I had a cushion made from 5 inch high density foam and covered with a super tough material.
The height gives you added legroom which is just like being able to move the seat back another few inches.
In fact its better,as you get added visibilty.

That because there is 100 other uncomfortable things to worry about first in the 45s :D
