Come April 8th there are going to be parts in Texas that I want to be.

That’s a great map.
I have been in the totality before and it is something truly remarkable! It could easily be a bucket list type of thing!

I’m coming from California.

Thinking somewhere around Waco would be great.

What is Texas like for just camping on open country?

Best would be on the top of the highest place! Nothing around to disrupt your view of the 360* horizon. Right on the middle of the Path of Totality!!!!

I tend to bounce between Austin and Denver. (No skiing in Austin and the summers are hot.)

But I’ll definitely be in (or near) Austin for that.

We enjoyed the totality in 17 from the back yard. Had to go to southern Colorado to see the annular this tear. Will be in southern Mo. for the April one next year.
