Timber,

600,000k and 7000 feet of rappeling rope?

That is 323lbs of rope or 47, 150 foot long 10mm static ropes.

some of the longest routes in the world are 7400 feet (90 pitches or lengths of rope).

Please explain all of your BS.

Oh yeah 95' with 6,000,000k on original tires and my leather looks new!!!

Here's my Land Cruiser's odometer. Honest. Looks like I win!

in 10 miles i will have 380,000 mi.

That's awesome. How many of those miles have you put on it? What are your thoughts on how the vehicle is aging as you near 400k? What major repairs have you done?

The GPS got me lost looking for Pizza Hut so I just got 380,001 mi on it.

Bought it with 207,000 mi on it.

The only major thing I had to replace was the transfer case/center diff and that way my fault and most likely was not broken...but thats another story...

I have replaced many wear items like water pump, front diff bearings, wheel bearings etc just couse I though with the 200,000+ miles they would need replacing but after inspecting them there was no sign of wear. Some of the problems I have had with it were my fault from not knowing what I was doing when I working on it. The 80 is a good vehicle to learn how to work on, I have learned lots.

The only thing wrong right now is startup smoke but have had that my several years now and is slowly getting worse. It also depends on what oil I use.

It is still a strong reliable vehicle. Just hauled a very heavy 6x12 Uhaul trailer from Grand Junction, CO to OH where in CO the motor was at redline pulling the mt passes.
driver seat looks bad with the stitching worn off. Pass seat leather is very hard. Need a new windshield as its soo pitted its hard to see through under certin light conditions. The rear wiper went bad and needs fixing and paint is leaving the hood and roof. It survived the big hail storm in Cheyenne WY last year when most vehicles got totaled, you have to look hard to see the damage. The roof rack bolts wore out as I hauled too much weight on it. I have worked it hard and drive a lot of hwy miles all over the country and it still has life left in it to go anywhere I ask it to go.

My second post.

I only have 102500 on my 95. Got it 6 weeks ago and rolled over 100000 on my way home from the dealers lot. I'll have to put some more miles on it I guess.

I agree Timber788 should be punished... Oh wait I had made a thread that I had left my account open at a local library and left without signing out!! I had just gotten back this morning from a search and rescue that was called off in alaska and was wondering what new threads came up while i was away hmm? until my computer freaked out shooting emails at me, of how I am a liar and fake and a couple of dumbasses tell me they will kill me if they see me and my rig on the trails, well my job is to rescue people on trails sooo good luck with that, lol I don't care this is just something I tried to get into to get some questions answered about my cruiser.

BTW FOR THE RECORD MY CRUISER HAS 208,000 miles rounded!!!

Did you sell your rig Timber? I saw it posted on Colo Spgs. craigslist a few days ago.

In keeping on track my 97 FZJ80 has 190,500 on the clock. I hope to get all I can out of the original motor. I'd be thrilled to see it click over 300K.

:hhmm:

Hit 200,000 in June of 2010 in our '97 LX450. That was about the time I did the front axle service. Today, she just got new bearings and seals in her rear axles- at 225,850 miles! Oh, if you make a locknut SST by grinding slots in a socket, an 1-13/16" socket worked great.
Still a great looking, great driving ride!

342,000 miles on mine. Runs great, better than when I first got it with 130,000 or so on it. Its my DD work vehicle, but am going to soon remove it from full duty so I can do some needed body work to it and save some gas money(getting a 96 camry wagon for free).

My story is similar to landtoy80's. Never been stranded and it still ran when broken. Fixed a lot of things, replaced parts as insurance at about 275,000 miles(water pump, alt, hoses). The biggest thing I had to replace, front axle and birf at about 250,000.

Heres the best, original radiator, and its been on the green its whole life.
