Could it be...

The Zebranator ??

Paging @Rainman

That's me the day I raffled it off. The spare tire is on the ground in the back.

No not the zebranator and not owned by Ted Nugent. My wifes father is the original owner, and bought it off the lot brand new. Trying to find out whether this was stock paint from toyota manafacturer or was this painted from the dealership. Does any body have any history of this safari zebra paint job. thanks for the replies love and the pics guys. love seeing other cruisers with this paint job

Toyota never striped a Cruiser. Dealer? Maybe.
Nugent's famous striped 4x4 was a Bronco.
The Zebranator was painted by me.

Just getting facts separated.

And another pops up. Zebranator popped into my head when I saw it.

I just think it's so funny how the Zebranator has left an imprint all these years later. It's entire life was before the internet took off. I started the raffle when the Land Cruiser Mailing List was one of the first on line forums. It looked kinda like Dos the way it worked. Very primitive. It was only driving for about 2-3 years after that. Lost in a roll over on the interstate in TX (I think). It does kind of warm my heart though.

Resurrecting this old thread as I did a search on the word "Zebranator"

I can confirm this was "lost" in a rollover in TX.

You know how I know? I was the one driving. It was 3 days after I got it, I was maybe 18 and on the way to the tire shop because the mud tires has ZERO grip on the pavement. Was headed to swap them for ATs and my rear end swung around on me on an offramp. Rolled 4 times. It was pretty serious.
