Also in Memphis... check out Porcellino's Craft Butcher. I had a chicken biscuit with some sort of honey drizzle. The crust had a hint of BBQ rub mixed in. The biscuit was perfection. Off. The. Fawkin'. Chain.
The picture sucks, but...
The espresso was a solid 8/10. They used some beans from a local roaster, which was the only thing holding it back. The patio atmosphere is 11/10, especially with the pecan smoke wafting over.

I'm headed to Lexington VA for wedding this weekend. Would love for places to eat or things to see there or in Roanoake.
I lived in lexington for 3 years (law school). Great town. Call me and ill hook you up. You will be 15 mins from blue ridge parkway. VMI amd washington and lee campuses both offer some neat historical things as well.

Gonna be rolling into Columbia to pick up the Pile and then head north. Plan is to roll thru Jackson and hit the Trace for the return trip, looking for recommendations for a lunch stop in Jackson. Something that I can get a loaded 18' trailer near would be preferable.

What is the trailer parking situation down there? I would love to hit Lou's, especially since he is a CLC member and since momma will be with, but don't want to get into a hard spot to negotiate the madness that will be in-tow.
There's a street adjacent to and north of his parking lot. I'm betting you could park on the street there. Also, the east end of his parking lot will likely have space (depends on what time you're there, but I'm betting on Saturday, you'll be good). The food's worth it! PM @under_psi and see if he has recommendations
