my wife has been on the list for over a year. some how we got picked which coincides with our dates driving to CO on the 20th of July. Our reservation is the 23rd.

Knowing me, that’s a good guess, but it’s a little south of the place. Springfield Armory Historical Site museum in Massachusetts. It’s a pipe organ made of muskets. I didn’t get to hear it play but hope to do so on my next visit.

That pipe organ is beyond cool!
I have been to VMI and did not recall that stack but figured perhaps they updated the exhibit.
If you have not been to the exhibit at VMI it is well worth the trip.

Yup. We got on the waiting list about a year ago when they first opened..we lived in Denver at the time. I had a camping/off-roading trip planned in CO for this time and we just got super lucky with the timing of the reservation lottery pick. The place was awesome and a definite improvement over what it used to be.
