I was running 1" spacers with the oem wheels and 315's. After moving to the FJ's and 37's, I'm wanting to add a bit more spacer. The FJ wheel looked to have about 5" of backspacing and are definately tucked in further. I have read where some said 1.5" on 37's is too wide to efficiently tuck, and 1.25" would be the sweet spot. Im assuming amount of lift and with of rim is going to play a part as well.

Is there enough to gain by going with wider spacers from the 1" I currently use? Just talking out loud really. Chime in?

I would say no, a half an inch is so minor. I guess you could sell your current spacers (I'll take them lol) to offset the cost of new ones.
