1990 with 187k on the clock. looks like a newish radiator, plenty of oil leak/ rust proofing on the bottom, and the rust looks like mostly surface rust. frame was still solid feeling. everything worked fine, and except for an exhaust leak, took it for a test drive and no surprises there. fresh exterior paint as of 4 or 5 years ago ( ill get the paperwork for that later along with all service records from a reputable local shop)

Maybe a better way to ask is - the seller wants $$$$, is this a good price?

But to answer the question in the thread title, I wouldn't pay anything because I'm not interested in a FJ62.

Fair enough. They’re asking 19.5, which according to the sales on BAT isn’t far off. I didn’t get any pictures of the inside but it looks pretty good. No tears in fabric, everything is in place, all windows work, there’s a small abrasion on the back seat belt. Front seats are reupholstered and the rears have never been sat in and have stayed folded down. Paint looks great and nothing is out of place.

Next time I go over there I’ll get more pictures. The underside components were the main concern since the body and inside were in such good shape.

How much do you have budgeted for maintenance and repair after the purchase? I see about $5-7k in parts worth of basic deferred maintenance from just those few pictures.
It doesn’t look like it has been well maintained at all.

I’m not saying don’t buy it, but make sure you are accounting for your actual ownership and maintenance, at least if you intend to actually take care of this properly.

Yeah all those components are kept in mind. Had to do close to the same thing when I got my 100 too. I know it’ll cost a bit to get her back in decent shape, parts-wise.

No pics of the body and you said repaint, so that's a huge wildcard. The underside and engine bay look really unmaintained and crusty, so that makes me wonder what's hiding under the new shiny paint. Did you check the problem areas closely for filler? Rear fenders, rockers, A pillars, tailgate, etc.

I would pay twice as much for a 60 that is obviously well maintained with crappy faded original paint vs something that hasn't been maintained and has shiny new paint.
