I’m no mechanic and so my new to me FJ60 is currently at one getting a once over so we can pass Massachusetts inspection. Just got this note — what do you all recommend as a next step ? Where would I even go about sourcing this part?

You can try cruiseryard.com, may not be on the webpage for sale but email them with what you need. And be as specific as possible with the year, engine model and what part you need.

Or eBay.

Or ask the guys that do LS swaps like cruisermatt. He might have an old engine or know who does.

Or check local junkyard. Never know. I see 60’s at mine sometimes.

Do not attempt to repair the original exhaust manifold. Financially not smart.

Find a good used unit, have it decked to confirm flatness, and then use a RemFlex Gasket. OR... go to an aftermarket header like Trimeki.

The top left picture (broken off mounting ear) happened because of the difference in thickness between the header and the Intake manifold. When the Nut/Washer is tightened down, it 'deforms' the thicker Intake to the thinner header flange. You can use half-washers or 'spot-face' the manifold so the thickness are the same or close.

Many threads on this if you search.

Also can happen with uneven resurfacing of the stock Intake/Exh assy.

Needs to be addressed so it doesn't happen to the replacement Intake manifold
