Will the rear spring hangers from an FJ60 work on a 1981 FJ40?

If so, where could I buy these? Not having any luck so far.

I'd also be happy to buy 8/80 or later spring hangers from an FJ40.

Which would presumably work on a 1981 FJ40 but with the way this thing has been going....

Thanks.

60 hangers should work on a late model 40.

You already tried the usual suspects? SOR, Cruiser Corps, Cruiserparts.net, and so on?

Wimberly Four Wheel Drive has a large Cruiser boneyard and would probably have what you need. Daniel Edone is closing his business, supposedly this Summer, so you may want to inquire soon. Daniel or Grant could help you.

CCOT lists them as out of stock. Sounds like they're trying to find someone to manufacture them. CC does not have them. Haven't looked at SOR -- good last resort though. Nothing at Man-A-Fre.

Sorry to hear that Wimberly is closing. If Butch can't find his, I'll call them -- thanks.

8/80 FJ-40's and up are weird birds on the suspension. From what I understand though, it just means the springs and all the shackles/hanger/pins etc are wider.

Thanks for helping you guys. I am not above putting a hail call in the 40 section for our TT Editor either. Todd doesn't use that leverage in the tiniest bit and he should :D

Our program at work requires cap lock, so I forget sometimes. here is all I have, they are the front, don't know if you can make them work or not...if they will they are yours.

All you need now is an OCD soft top. Order now and it'll be ready by the time you're eligible for social security.

Carb is back in Cali. Must be having a good time. :smokin:

Butch sent me the spring hangers at no charge -- much obliged, sir.

ARB ran out of some of my parts while they waited nearly three weeks to process my order :deadhorse: (but they do give me great pricing so no real room for complaints there). Since I had never been able to actually place the order, I didn't bother to place the order.

So I ordered the lift from I:pig:OR. Who did not have it either. So I got extended brake lines from them. They do have one spring pack for 8/80 >> in case you're looking to lift one corner of your vehicle.

I then managed to place the order with ARB. "Early May" isn't seeming so bad now that it's late April.

Yes Virginia, it really has been three-plus weeks since I found out my spring packs are broken. :crybaby:

Freakin' gone to Hawaii Grogan....

Dudes -- these emoticons are  easy even for me.

Holy Batman Todd. I was sure you'd be rollin' by now. That truck is the gift that keeps on giving. Sorry for your latest woes.

At least you can take comfort in knowing you financed Grogan's Hawaiian vacation.
