Believe parts of Europe required three point seats belts as early as 1973. In 1976 I bought a hard off of a 73 to replace the one on my 68 that got damaged. It has a the anchor point in the sides. When I bought my 73 FST it had a hard top installed.. determined it was off a 72 model because of the lack of these fixed nuts and the type of weatherstriping on the windows. The lowe bracket was used in the US from 1/76 when the three point seats belts started and ended 2/78 when three point anchor moved to the roll bar. In markets that did not have roll bars but required three point seat belts the anchor point spot welded to the hard top side continued until the end of the 40 series. I removed a set of a wrecked 84 troopy to possibly use on my FJ45. I was lucky and secured a set of top anchor that bolted on. Those were only on the Canadian 45s.
