FedEx Santa showed up in a rental truck Friday. Some goodies for the trailer.

Had the tires mounted on the new wheels and balanced with balance bags. Somewhat disappointed I didn't go with 33x12.50R15 tires and 10 x 15 wheels on the trailer to match to ones on the 40 but it is to late now. At least there is a match and the may-pops are gone. Also deleted the hideous stickers on the sides. Finished up the wiring for the trailer lights and I am ready to add the wiring for the trailer brakes and auxiliary battery power. There is also an available spade for back up lights on the trailer and I will use that to good advantage.

Tomorrow the hard top goes on, snow is forecast for the weekend.

Today the USPS Santa showed up with another goodie for the trailer. This little item will come in very handy for pressurizing the tires after a trail ride. Saw it on Toyota classifieds on Facebook and made an offer to the seller.

I got a spring in today! ONE spring. Talk about a let down when opening the box. The other is due Wednesday; it shipped separately. After replacing the 'S' shaped springs, all the damage incurred at the Southern Cruiser Crawl will finally be complete!!

Wrapping up the last run of rear sill stickers that I expect to make. Shipping a bunch tomorrow, only a handful left to sell. If you think you might want one, contact me soon before they are all gone. (Link in my signature.)

Is it bad that I want one just for my ratty old 4Runner bumper? :hillbilly:

Congratulations John in Utah, this pic is my December, 2018 desktop background.

Awesome image!

I’m using a citrus based stripper and a Brillo pad. I was using it by hand but found I couldn’t mount the Brillo pad an a mouse sander I had. @HelloKitty65 showed me the technique.

I don't think there are any rules attached to where they go once they are out of my hands...
Bezel to bumper, police are everywhere.
@cruiserboy14, @oregon fj showed me the technique. Brillo pad and 110v sander, that's new. Careful or it will look like a Delorian!

the sander wouldn't hurt a fly. as soon as you see the OG color I move on. I keep uncovering the silver marks. it looks like someone took a belt sander to it to rough it up for the metallic blue paint (later it was painted silver) so it looks worse than it is on my part of the job. like I read on the project patina thread: it tells a story!

You inspire me. Maybe I'll tackle my running boards tonight. Keep it up!
