Painted the chassis and springs,View attachment 1310339 test fitted the springs. Will paint and fit the axles next and then it will be a rolling body, and finally put the reconditioned engine back in

You've got your springs on upside down, they don't work well that way... ;)

Started ordering some parts to finish up my snorkel install.

Just need to do some measuring and order an inline air filter.

Hell, I think we should save that pick to trot out every time someone asks about a spring over!

I didn't have a replacement brace and wanted to avoid future rust with the sandwich metal construction of the original so I made a replacement pice out of 11g x 3" . A single flat piece for the main support with a 1/2x3/16" strip for the angle. Then contoured the front section out of the same material. Not exactly stock but very solid and it's all underneath - top looks stock

I don't think even Mr. T himself would object if he saw the level of detail you put into that. Nice job.

Nolen... You may need to translate for those who don't speak Loosianna

I'm sorry @pngunme, I figured he being a Hillbilly he'd know what I ment. Not a stump jumper but close enough.

For those who don't....scuff, mask, wipe down, and spray her

Got a nice replica of the FJ40 turn signals from sunny Thailand.

Those look nice, good find.
Does anyone know if the piece on the bottom, between the housing and fender can be replaced? Mine has a huge crack in it which prevents me from tightening down much.
