Tks Alan! Been a loooooong road. Few more things and she'll be back on the road - the hardest parts are done now.

I dusted off the 2nd of my 18-months-long half-door project, cleaned off all the old Toyota black rubber, glue and wtf-is-that-tar-crap-they-use-to-glue-the-plastic-inside-the-doors. If you have to do it, start with a wire wheel on a drill to get most of it, then acetone on a rag to clean it up. Nasty.

Then I sanded, so it's ready for primer. The 1st half-door is in primer with the handle and guts working and a crappy door panel.

Is it dumb that I hooked up the lock on the inside?

Here's a couple pictures from the early days of this project. It's 3" muffler pipe on late-model doors. Lotsa work. Much thanks to Otterav!!

Started it and drove it for the first time in almost 4 years! Now it is time to do 1,000 things to make it really road-worthy again.

Finally got the motivation to fix the front brakes after sitting in my driveway for 1.5 years. Doing a disc brake swap as well as master cylinder and new brake lines (have a '69 40 and don't want to deal with 9mm anymore, or single circuit master for that matter).

Going to go look for some Subaru or Celica seats at the bone yard today.

Finally replaced the blown brake master and also the clutch master and finally drove it again! Nice to be back in the 40

Removed the hard top all by myself...

x2 - I used my winch and a snatchblock though...

Funny how immediately after the top comes off, my wife suddenly becomes interested in driving the cruiser again.

Finally got my girl a turn key.Was my build thread ( 75 40 build) ,installed rock sliders ,will get wheel alignment tomorow.6.2 purrs like a kitten

I bought a swing out tire carrier spindle and such from a vendor something like 2 yrs ago. As part of a build up this spring....I finally got the damn carrier installed today. Here is the build thread and pasted below are some pictures.
