Carb finished and installed. Did the fuel pump too. Beer and snow for scale and dramatic effect.....
Among many things, new gasket, filter and cleaned my 40’s shot glass.

It's been raining for days now. Cleaned the cat boxes. Changed oil in the 40 and sat in it and listened to the radio. This is an 86120-89113 AM/FM/MPX radio from an 80-82 mini truck fitted with a faceplate from an 86120-60020 AM radio. It is only about 3/4" deeper so it fits well.

Couple things happened this weekend. Painter sent me a sneak peek and I cleaned up my winch and threw it on the front. Need to decide on a steel cable or synthetic rope. Any recommendations?

With a paint job that nice you don't want that crusty old bezel on there. Tell you what - I'll send you a nice shiny chrome one and take that old thing off your hands for you, no charge!
Synth is easier to handle, but steel cable keeps that vintage look... especially on your vintage 8274
Too cheap to buy a replacement upper dash pad. Read on the forum on how to DIY a repair. My dash pad was almost cracked through the middle. I used JB weld plastic bond and finished it with rust oleum bed liner. Aside from several hours of labor I had less than $15 in materials.
Replaced the lower thermostat housing that @ToyotaMatt supplied along with the coolant temp sensor pigtail. While on a shopping spree, I also replaced the WP and all the hoses. Unfortunately I decided to shop local for the hoses and its bitting me in the ass. The lower radiator hose was ordered 2 weeks ago and its still not here.
Also replaced the noisy fuel pump the PO put on with a mechanical one.
Since the coolant was drained and it's 2 degrees outside, rebuilt the heater box. I think I got a bit of Anthrax from breathing all that crap that was inside.
I wish you wouldn’t have shown that last pic. I have a stale odor that permeates from my heater vents and now I’m worried mine may look the same...

A matter of personal preference; you'll get varied opinions. I run 3/8" synthetic rope on mine, it's more safe to use and much lighter.
I bought her this week!! Lola isnt the prettiest, her hardtop is in rough shape, and I think shes gone too far to restore her with this tub, but damn am I proud to own her. Shes the first car Ive payed for and it feels good to know shes all mine.
