BRF is my favorite shop over in West Yellowstone, mostly for the fact that they sell huge patches of fur. You can go hand pick your fur specifically for the flies you're tying.

My shirt for tomorrow.

WOW, now that's impressive.......If you ever need anything, ask for Brian, tell him your a friend of his brothers. He's one of the people that even if he wasn't my brother, I'd be fortunate to have him as a friend. That's me on the left......great day with him on the Madison!

That is hilarious, I went on a float trip down the Madison in 2015 with a guide named Brian out of Blue Ribbon Flies!

Awesome, there's only one Brian there. He's been there for well over 15+ years....living the dream for sure. Hope you had a great time!

We've recently been looking in the Boise area (our sister's husband died last Nov, with 5 kids) We would be closer to MT than we are now for sure, but finding a totally new career for the next 15+ years is not looking favorable so far......

Both hoops were a little twisted. Took a fair bit to get them twisted back, upwards of 19 inches of pull on one..

Mine wasn't that bad, but it wasn't great either.

I sent an email to metaltech describing the issue, and while I certainly did not expect everything to be perfect, this was a bit onerous on my part to fix it, as you can see. They make some good quality stuff, I just think their level was out of tune.

Did you actually get it straightened? That seems like a ton of twist. I am feeling very lucky right now as my family cage from them did not have that issue. I did have to bend the tubes that go from the front floor boards to the hoop behind the driver.... mine were just a bit off nothing like that.... I would think they would send a free replacement for something that bad.... best of luck with the cage and send more pics as you progress!

Yep, got both straightened out. They weren't that bad, about 1/2 to 1 inch off, but made a big difference when installed. Just took a lot of force to get that small twist fixed.
