I’ve been going back and forth about how I want to get rid of the chrome on my LX. Decided to order some tinted vinyl and try my hand at it. First time trying it. With the help of a heat gun and good razor I started to get the hang of it. It’s pretty tedious so not sure I’ll go this route for the rest of the truck. Also need to do the lower portion of the license plate surround and redo the upper portion of it as I trimmed a little too close around the top and you can see a little chrome when you’re looking at it up close.

Saw this in person today. Beautiful build. Very wow
Thx. Only gotten a few pics fingers crossed it all turns out great. Nothing but good reviews about Ozark outfitters so I’m sure it will. I hope to fly up and hit some trails when I’m there before I drive it back to Florida.

You won’t be disappointed. The rear swing outs are so smooth.

If Jason can’t go with you give me a shout, I’m local.

Nice! We have a similar setup.

What springs did you use in the rear?

Can you please take a picture of what you did with the swaybar link, and can you tell me why you did it? Cheers!

Getting ready for a New Years boondocking trip and need the LX to support the whole family. Added a shelf basket to the rear swingout for firewood and propane as it's going to be a cold one.

Did an alignment. I'm happy with the final measurements and how the truck drives with my new suspension setup. I was able to get the rear thrust angle to zero with the Ironman adjustable lateral rod.

Left side is a standard reef drawer and wing - no modifications on the side beside the mounting to the flat plate.

The right side is a wing kit cut to fit and the rest is custom to fit the fridge. 80/20 frame designed by me and custom woodworking by me with help from a neighbor with some decent woodworking tools.

I'll make a video for YouTube soon, likely this week if it stops raining long enough.

Behind the fridge hides a Redarc BCDC1225D and a battery.

Saw your YouTube video on this. Have to say, you did an amazing job! Simple, serviceable, and clean. I would love to see the the production drawer guys implement options like this. I wouldn't be surprised if we start to see more pull out fridge/freezers in the future.

Thanks! I feel like most people just don't need the 45qt + capacity of some of the larger fridges.

Granted, we do a lot of 1.5 or 2.5 person travel for 3-4 days, and that probably toward the low end of the spectrum of group size and travel duration, but I felt like it was the best solution for us.

After the first trip with the drawer fridge just tossed in there I was sold on making the changes.

Today I replaced the PCV valve on my ‘08 with 250k miles. It still rattled a little, but definitely was pretty full of gunk. It’s cheap and easy enough to replace I figured I might as well. I don’t think this is the original valve, but it has at least 50k miles on it since I’ve had it.

FWIW, this weekend we completed a 400 mile drive that we’ve done a number of times and saw noticeably better fuel economy. Usually we struggle to break 15 mpg for this drive, and saw 15.8. Not a big enough data set to say for sure, but I almost paid for the part in fuel savings on this one trip. 😆

Started install of Dissent rear bumper and dual swing outs. Tire carrier, lights and camera relo to go. @radman ‘s install/instruction thread was key for fairly easy install.
