Ironman Foamcell Pro and SPC UCAs installed yesterday for my 18K mile anniversary. :D

My driveway isn't level so the front looks higher, but it's pretty much even front-to-rear.

Looks good - question (forgive me it’s already been answered). I’m about to pull the trigger in this exact upgrade - is the lift adjustable or stagnant. I’m like you not looking for extreme off roading and I’m also not hauling heavy loads - I’m worried that the full lift might be a little too much for my kids (although I’m all about ) ;) .... thanks

The Foamcell's are not adjustable (so any OCD regarding "optimal" height is eliminated). :D

I took my rear license plate off so that I could remove the dealer surround, take off old registration stickers, and put on the new registration sticker.

Of course, both license plate screws broke off. I then removed the plastic insert on the inside of the tailgate so that I could get to the rear of the screws. In doing so, I broke about 5 of the body clips holding the insert to the sheet metal. That gave me access to the back of one of the screws. I sprayed it with PB blaster and tried to turn the end of the screw with my vise grips. That, of course, just broke off the end of the screw.

I've got a screw extractor set coming from Amazon tomorrow.

The joys of wrenching in the salt-encrusted snow belt -- no connector ever comes off easily.

For license plates stainless steel bolts. Always. I cringe when I drive around and see these rusty dripping marks below plate bolts.

Anti-seize everything.

Rustproof the undercarriage and body cavities (Corrosion Free is my favorite). This pays off BIG time. I'd rather get messy while wrenching on the truck than fight rust.

Finally got the old, pitted wheels off of my 2009 Land Cruiser... oddly enough there is really no rust anywhere on the underbody except for the exhaust tip and then the wheels. Im in LA so not used to seeing rust. Regardless, out with the old, in with the new. Settled on the Method 701s. Tires are 275/70/18. Everything else is stock.

I feel your pain. You paint quite the picture lol. Felt like I was riding shotgun during that meltdown. Good to know I am not alone. I swear thats the story of my life when working on my 1973' Frankenstein built Suburban.

looks great! Any rubbing or modifications to avoid rubbing? What offset on the wheels? +25?

I also recommend some paint protection film behind the plate or a silicone plate frame,. The plate can easily scratch through your paint and you would never even see it.

Yep, +25mm offset.

Yeah I was rubbing pretty bad when I first put them on. It was a tough drive back to the house after leaving the tire shop. I pulled off both of the front mud flaps and it solved about 90% of my issue. I suspect pulling the little wind guard wings on the front of the wheel well, and then maybe some fender liner mod will take care of it all. I could probably be totally okay with how it is now, but Im going to try and see if a little heat gun takes care of it completely.

Ah, now I'm remembering that thread. Good to know it's not too expensive, given the job of tilling 35s can't be easy on it.
@dubyahard I can tell you that you saved about a grand versus having a dealer do it, that included a couple hours investigating...

My use case was similar when it failed (albeit at 25K mile mark). stuck in snow ditch, wheels at lock... The working diagnosis was that air was introduced somehow due to extreme angles, foamed the hydraulic fluid and emptied out of resevoir cap. pump ran dry and was kaput. I'm suspect that air was introduced and think its just possible to build up enough pressure within the system in certain cases that can cause the pump to fail.

Just took mine home last weekend and detailed it for the first time today. Since they announced killing the 200 I felt more urgency to get in while I still could. This (used) beauty fell in my lap last weekend and I pulled the trigger ASAP. 2019 Blue Onyx/Terra and will likely remain stock but for tires as it's now my wife's daily.

Jesus. Coming from a Tacoma, when I brought my 200 home I felt like I was in a monster truck. Granted lifting and upsizing tires completely changes 200 from dealer stock form, but still, this photo makes the 200 look like a eurosized economy car. I'm guessing the wide angle lens is contributing to this effect. That Ram is no joke.

Thanks for the info. I suspect my 6112’s in the front, even at the lowest setting would help some. I’m trying to avoid rubbing on the KDSS arm.

I got tired of having to pull up my mag mount LED lighting solution every time I needed to see in the drawers at night, so I picked up a couple of Baja Designs Switched Dome Lights and mounted them on the lift gate. They are plenty bright and seem to work really well, but they do get hot after a while. I'm not sure I would leave them on for more than 5-10 minutes at a time as I suspect the plastic interior panels they are mounted to might melt. I'll have to do some testing to see. When camping or needing light for more than a few minutes at a time, I'll still opt for using my mag mount lights, primarily because they have the motion sensor that makes them great for camping. This mod solves for the majority of the time where I need light for a couple minutes or even a few second, right away.

There's definitely some unintended perspective going on in that photo. The Power Wagon is longer by a mile so its nose was closer to me when I took the photo. That said it absolutely does make the LC look more like a highlander in the driveway. I tried to take another photo just now standing more towards the center of the driveway to show the side better.

I had a 2016 Taco before I traded it in on the Ram and I honestly don't miss it (I do miss the 6 speed m/t). The Ram only has about 7k miles on it so far but it's been a dream to drive and I'm glad I took the plunge. I've been a Toyota guy my whole life but I couldn't objectively spend money on a Tundra with Ford and FCA (pains me to write that) doing what they are in the full size+ pick up world.
