Just tried installing CBI Offroad ditch light brackets. The brackets press down on the plastic at base of windshield a good bit. Followed all install guidelines but I'll send them back as they need to adjust design for 2018 models. Too much tension on that plastic and it will crack eventually.

How was it? Would you DIY again? Any pointers/specific tools required?

Not bad, really. It just takes the right process and tools. You need a slip mixture, a tack mixture, various sized squeegees, an x-acto knife and a whole lot of patience. I've already done all 4 doors , roof, headlights, and the front end of the hood. I'll be doing the rear 1/4 panels, hatch lids, wing , and I'll be finished with the vehicle. I've even used remnants to cover up my stedi / aux lights!

There’s a couple discrete zip ties to prevent a grab and run. Hopefully that works....

Had the whole thing wrapped in Xpel, with matte clear on the hood to get rid of glare, black vinyl with Xpel over it to get rid of some grill chrome, and plasti dip on rear chrome. Also had LRA 24 gallon tank installed. Heads out to Ben at Dissent next week for the good stuff!

I did the plasti dip, but left the Xpel to an install shop. Seemed a little out of my skill set.

Love it! What ladder is this/and cargo basket? Same Australian ladder as VooDoo2? I read through his build thread btw. Still trying to figure out where to get a ladder even if I order from Australia.

Looks like VooDoo2's is Vogue Industries attached to a Rhino rack. Yours looks different. Custom? Definitely also interested in your hitch basket.

Decided to head to Boathouse Cove trail at Lake Mead for the Holiday afternoon. It's a fun trail with only a few rocky areas.
In the second pic where the white areas are, that is the high water line of many decades ago. The lake is currently 145 ft below the full mark. The 4th pic shows how far underwater we traveled

I had my driving partner try the rougher downhill section. She is still learning the nuances of off-road driving so I thought it might be a good time for her to experience a tire lifting while going downhill so I had her drop into the hole.

I went to Asheville the week before, I think I need to make suspension a priority now. Unfortunately I don’t trust any of the installers near me in Florida.

He just did the suspension on my LC. . .top notch work. He does full custom work on all Cruisers, including full rebuilds. Below is a picture of his "stable", and my LC after suspension install (Ironman Foamcell Pro with 1" comfort springs).
