So I decided to cover up the whole mess with a 2006+ rear plaque (75441-60500-C0) and silver sombrero (75471-24131). Couldn't be happier with the result:

@Ayune - How does the 2006+ rear plaque attach?

Looks great, I can't wait to de-bling mine!

Fishing line and a 3M 03612 Eraser Wheel on a drill is all you need. Just be mentally prepared for what could be lurking underneath!

It's got adhesive tape on the back of it. There are two small plastic alignment posts that you'll have to break off.

I centered the plaque and put a piece of tape on both the plaque and the tailgate so I could find center again. Up & down is easily found by aligning to the bottom of the tailgate lip with your fingers. Pull off the backing tape, feel for alignment to the tailgate bottom, align the tapes, then press it on. Easy peasy.

Thanks for the info!

I'm going to try and replace with chrome emblems but if I'm faced with the same problem as you I will go this route.

Finally got the crappy drop down screen out, with a custom fabbed and suede covered plate to cover the foot square hole it left. Will post pics tomorrow, it was such an eye sorry, and my whole family hit their heads on it.

Buddy (pictured) and I started wrapping the truck in Satin White Pearl.

have you wrapped before? just wondering how hard it is if i've never done it. I'm considering the same thing

Nope, first time wrapping, it's very difficult given how big the LC is. The hood took us 3 hours to do, had to push out a bunch of bubbles. The rear quarter panel will be the true test when i get to it.

Looks great so far!

Clean! Sick color choice!

How well do you think the wrap would stand up to branches and pinstriping?

Not sure, haven’t tested it yet but if I scuff them up too bad I’ll just buy another piece of vinyl and re wrap it. Cheaper than repainting for sure.

Installed driver side fender liner.

Installed driver side turn signal.

Installed Toyota diff lock warming sticker to cover holes from previous owner.

Installed rear cargo area DVD cover.

I bought the cheap 29 dollar one. Good quality and fit.

Assembled my YotaMD key fob. What a little work of art. The 2 little extra pins threw me for a loop. I ended up assembling it with out them as it wouldn't close properly.

Exercised the suspension, got some scratches and had homemade re-hydrated spaghetti and wine dinner off the tailgate (it IS an LX, after all, can't be too uncivilized in the backcountry).

Put on Bosch quietcast rotors and pads and did my first bearing repack. Only had time to do the front but it's so nice not to have the steering wheel dance while braking. Stops great now.
