Brake fluid flush this past Sunday.

Today I visited my mom and had my new tires mounted (Falken AT3W LT275/65/18). She recently had her driveway graded so all the interesting bits were gone (the uphill part took the front bumper of an LS430 off years ago) plus drove around her property much to her chagrin; all the ground was soft due to the rain and melting snow we had and parts of it turned to a muddy soup which I tried to avoid as part of this field is her front lawn... I miss being home sometimes!

That red is beautiful!

Washed it, got a better look at the two latest off-roading battle scars. Truck looks great from 10', but get closer and it's obvious this is no mall cruiser...

Craigslist find after 4 months of searching/researching (thanks MUD) and missing out on 3 rigs: 2000 w/ 165k. 1 owner. Last color on my wishlist, but couldn't pass on the price! Came w/ a stack of maintenance receipts & timing belt was last done at 100k @ Lexus. P.O. lost to a parking garage pole, so there's a light scrape on front bumper and pull-able dent on the fender.

Removed third row, running boards, & roof rack. Mini interior/exterior. Tires coming soon!

I like it. Gives it character and nobody should ask you if you really "wheel" it.

As my buddy says "paint's just there to keep the metal from rusting..."

I've got battle scars all over this rig - definitely not like the numerous jeeps I see around town that look like they're ready for anything but don't have a scratch anywhere on them. I call them Barbie jeeps. :)

I got the main base of my roof rack cut, fitted and tacked up today. Gotta' fit up the light bar mounts/tabs and figure out how to mount the leading edge of my removable sunroof panel so it won't rattle, attach securely, and not blow off on the freeway. After I get that sorted I'll bend up the upper hoop and burn it in, rattle can it, and mount it up.

Good grief, is that NOS?
No, but it is immaculate. Previous owner had it serviced by a specialist and the nose section was replaced. Some of the included parts seem to be NOS though. Even came with the original congratulations card, warranty certificate, and engine bay/carb stickers.

My goodness give me details on those drawers please.

I drew it up in solidworks, cut out all the pieces from 3/4" birch, and glued and screwed it together. Pretty basic design... two drawers, three wings on piano hinges, four recessed tie downs, speaker box carpet, aluminum angle for trim. Spent just under $400 in materials. Most of the $ went to the KV 200 lb slides. One of my favorite mods!

315-75-16. Maybe the pics make em look big?
No, they're beefy - compared to my 275-75-18's your tires are 1.4" taller and 1.6" wider.

You should sell the solid works plans for the DIYers. Those drawers look great.

I see. I think without the wheel spacers they look a lot less beefy. The spare just looks big because it's on the back and in the air.
