Bought another one. I’ve been driving new LC/LX’s for the last 30 years as my DD. Still have an 2012 that my wife is using. In 2020 I bought a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon that I built as my (not sure if I like the name) overlander rig. While it’s very capable off road I’ve never been happy with it’s road manners or reliability. So today I picked up an 05 LX that I plan to build and use as a desert/long range vehicle. Really appreciate this site for all the great info. Before I bought the Rubicon I built a really nice Cherokee that my wife said was to loud and rough. After I built the Rubicon she said it wasn’t as comfortable or as quite as our LX. We have a new LX600 on order I just hope she doesn’t compare the 05 LX to the 22 LX when I’m done.

Love your new vehicle, those look like 200 series wheels. I have the same and am trying to locate a part number of a wheel bearing cap that will fit the front wheel. it looks as though you have the same challenge. Being a fussy bugger i am its annoying me not being able to find one as yet.

Yes, I’ll be looking for one soon. There are lots on Amazon but they don’t look right. If I find the matching one to order I’ll post a link.

Followed it home after it died on the “boss” while she was driving up a hill on the way to a work meeting. Hasn’t started since, between work and weather I haven’t diagnosed much. Seems like a fuel issue though, EFI fuse didn’t do it, security light stops flashing once keys is in… got a doggle to see if there are any codes. No work tomorrow so hope to make progress. Crazy timing as we just returned from 6 days in remote Utah.

Didn’t do anything “to” it, just did something “with” it - towed a ski boat over the mountain and to the lake. It pulled it easily, but I was thrown off by the offset of the trailer light harness connection on the LC. The line from the trailer was a few inches short and we had to do a little splicing after a trip to the auto parts store.

I also had mine removed, and a magnaflow muffler welded in. I also have DT headers, I cut the resonator off and welded a straight pipe in its place. Very balanced and mellow V8 sound. I like it.
Which MagnaFlow muffler did you get?

Finishing up the final details before Cruise Moab. Eaton E locker care of Cruiser Outfitters. Excellent service and great communication. Had her fully detailed for the first time in a long time, switched out most of the fluids and installed her second set of ridge grapplers. This will be her third trip out west and the first time she will be tasked with driving back to South Florida

I have a miraculously self-healing truck - the CEL that's been on a little bit cleared itself. I replaced the MAF a week or two ago without it helping, and have a PCV valve here as next step in the line (o2 after that), but it's off today. It's healt, y'all.

Or the bulb burned out.

You know there is an easy way to check if the bulb is burnt

So, just out of curiosity, did I do something I can't undo, or is there no way to remove the rear bumper without removing the towing hitch? The rear most (2) center bolts looked impossible to remove since they back out right into the frame of the hitch. I just ended up cutting the plastic tabs off.

Anyways, today I took measurements for a project that can hopefully benefit all of us. I will make a thread about it if everything works out.

Attempted to remove the running boards but didn’t have the time and had to drive it to pick up my son. I also picked up the spare to match my four factory rims.
