I'm also on the fence about this. I have the nasty beige interior but I don't think it would make sense to add the grey / black to a beige interior.
My 4Runner has a beige interior with a black steering wheel, and I’ve always thought it looks good. Seems to be a bit unique, most of the other ones I’ve seen have beige-y steering wheels.

Steering wheel Cover gave me the motivation to go ahead and clean up the rest of the rig and the rest of the fleet.

Today is such a nice day I figure I might as well air it out as well.

ARB front installed, just gotta finish hooking up the winch. Rear to go on next weekend. Also gotta find someone with a drill press to modify my IM4x4 Recovery Points so I can resintall those. Really happy with it.

Looks nice. I see the right amount of gap around the body (for flexing) and the grille mod also.

Straight swap with factory wiring for the rears, I tend to keep the volume pretty low so the stock amp would do for now without blowing up until I get the amp replaced.

For the front factory speakers, it uses a splitter connection so half of each signal goes into the woofer and tweeter. If you used component speakers, you’d have to cut and splice at the splitter containing 3 positive, 3 negatives ( 1 input 2 outputs each ). You’d wire the single inputs to your crossover and route them to the tweeters and woofers.

This video works as a good general guide.

Done with the fronts, JBL GX608C component speakers. Up to the amp next!

Pretty much factory mounting, 3M 03614 tape on the tweeters to factory mounts.
The factory speaker wires had a pretty good awg I extended the wires so I could fit the xover.

Got her back from the ex, this past Wednesday.
Friday I got the tires rotated and balanced. Filled her with some fresh Mobil 1 5w-30 oil, and installed a Mobil 1 M209 filter. Checked the rest of the fluids, and did a once over. Loaded her up with some gear. Then headed 4-1/2hrs south to the Shawnee National Forest. Ran her on 15 miles of fire roads as well as all the other roads around the forest, plus another 4-1/2hrs back home. Ran like a top and didn't skip a beat the whole trip.

Yeah, thanks for tips with the grill! It still barely touches on the left aerial mount but just have to flex it a little to get it by. No way was it gonna shut before that.

If you need a little more tilt, you might try adding a spacer washer (shim) at the top under the front location where the bracket bolts to the hood. That will tilt the bottom a little further inward. It's kind of a fine adjust type of thing.

It was nice of the EX to give you visitation rights... 😎

Haha...It wasn't a visitation right week, I officially got her back from her. She had just been driving her for the past two yrs b/c her car crapped out. Well got complaciant driving her, and ended up never looking for a new car. We split a few months back, and I decided to be a good person and let her borrow the Lux until she found herself a new ride. Surprisingly when I got her back, she was clean, and had an almost full tank of gas.

There are currently 4 spacers in the location on each side, might go one more and just see

That's amazing. When I had a similar scenario it came back with an empty gas tank, a big door ding, a windshield chip, and food debris all over the inside.

I personally know one female who lives in Idaho. You just described her general attitude towards other people, and especially males. Hope it isn't the same woman as she lives in CDL.
