Been a little MIA lately but man I have been missing working on the 100 after I started dailying my BMW.

Today I finally got started on my sleeping platform. It’s about 60% done.

👍🏽 Need flip-up doors on both sides so you can access the storage compartments. Would suck to need the Jack and have to pull the entire platform out to get it!
Yes, that is the plan. Already have the hinges, just have to make the cuts. Left side only, obviously, as the right side already has full access.

Highway tires that were on it finally got to a point where I could ditch them guilt-free. 285/75/r16 KO2s...

That looks fantastic. I have a spare set of bald studded snow tires that the PO gave me when I bought the car and I want to put on some more aggressive tires for trailing trips. This would be perfect. Mind if I ask how much these ran?

$930 for four tires installed at Discount Tire. They match Costco prices/sales, and Costco won't install plus size tires anyway.

My daughter had her first real driving lesson today around an empty parking lot. She did great and keeps reminding me that this truck is hers at 16. She is a 10 year old 5'1" blue-eyed blonde. And it might be 50 degrees out, but she refuses to wear a jacket so everyone can see the Land Cruiser t-shirts Onur gives her.
@Onur and I are in real trouble when this kid gets older.

OMG - Look at that smile! So cool!!

My daughter (18) is taking my Cruiser to a local OHV area next weekend. She's going to camp and drive the trails with some friends. This is part of her build up for her off road adventure that she has informed me she is taking this summer. Her plan is to be gone for three weeks, most of it off road, most of it dispersed camping, some mild four wheeling and some major distance from mom and dad.

I was invited to go wheeling with some friends but I had to turn it down because she will be gone with my truck the week they are going. I don't know what I've done!!

Got a little bit more progress in on the sleeping platform. It’s turning out much better than I thought it would given my zero wood working experience lol. Ran out of spray adhesive glue so I’ll have to tackle the rest of the loose glue spots tomorrow.

Just gotta tidy up the fabric corners and install that hardware to secure it to the vehicle. Best part is that it’s fully removable.

My 11 year old daughter has already told me she wants me to hold on to the 98 LX until she gets her license because it will be her first car! I think she will turn out alright!

She’ll be just fine. She’s got her priorities straight.

Removed non ac filter cover and installed new filter accessible cover. Vacuumed out a lot of debri. Task one for the morning.

Task 2, find tires. Looking and looking for 285 75 16's, km3, no one has them. Need to put on some used 16 wheels that I have reworked. They were chrome plated.

Finally finished off the elephant. Well, still need to get it aligned, but that’s not me😉. Drives great, which it should with mostly new parts, but satisfying nonetheless.
