"First generation 4Runner's in bad shape go close to this price."
Uhhh.... right... Seems a little steep for ugly brown/vinyl interior.... but mechanically it sounds great!
1986 Toyota 4Runner 4x4 22RE fuel injected 4 cylinder, auto, and one of the cleanest stock rigs you will find. (Because my opinion is best, regardless of what's in the next town over.)
The top has never been off. (*My top's all virgin.*Well, maybe once or twice, maybe to get the tint done and to reseal the leaky seals and fix some minor rust.)
All original with 128k miles. (*Even though I never state I'm the original owner and it has never been tampered with.)
The only changes made to this truck are Aisin hubs and tint. (*Even though Aisin hubs are factory, somewhere along the line some poseur swapped them to Warns, broke an axle, etc-etc, you know the bit.)
AC blows cold, even has the original AM/FM cassette radio. (*Tested by me placing my left nipple over the vent, yep, full on THO baby. Oh, and there's an old 1980's metal band tape stuck in there. Stuck on play, hope you like Pantera)
Rear window, wiper and sprayer work. (*Only if you can get the window to go back up after you have to put it down and pull the top for the "first time".)
There are zero issues with this truck and NO RUST. (*Now that I rigged it all up and fixed 'er up myself. Don't ask for service records either, I do all my own work.)
No rips in any seats, no stains on any carpet, no cracks in the dash. (*Rubber cement, a plastic cover, and Spot Shot work wonders!)
Minor door dings/scratches here and there, but nothing major. (*I made sure you can't find that stuff.)
It is about as perfect as you will find. It even has the stickers under the hood, and the orginal owners manual in the glove box. (*I ordered the stickers from the factory and got a manual from a wrecking yard locally.)
Any other questions, please feel free to ask. I only drive it 2-3 days a week. (*All winter long, down the Gulf Coast Highway, my commute then is only 200 miles each way.)
This 4Runner would easily make the drive cross country with no hesitations. (*Well, from me, the carb is needing a rebuild, so at altitude it might hesitate a little.)
First generation 4Runner's in bad shape go close to this price. (10 years ago when the economy wasn't in the outhouse.)
Thanks for looking! $5300 (*I'll be getting) FIRM (just thinking about how I suckered some fool and can use the money for the strip club.).
*Jerod, save my post for posterity and throw it into the FAQ's?Definitely worth a look. It appears to be a bare bones turbo model. No chrome, no SR5 stuff that I can see...I wouldn't pay more than 3500ish.... It just needs too much to be "the" truck....
Had to drive by there every day we were in Sugar Pine, drooling and kicking myself.1986 Toyota 4Runner 4x4 22RE EFI
