What did you do with your Tundra or Sequoia this weekend?

Life is too short to be running stock wheels 🤣
I honestly love my stock Limited rims. Oddly, they were the same ones I was tracking down for my 100 Series. I am on the fence on keeping them or moving to a set of Method 305 (17ā€) bronze/black lip.
 
Anyone familiar with gear install? After removing my mud terrains and installing all terrains I noticed a humming noise coming from the diff/diffs between 30-50mph.

I had 5.29 nitro gears installed back in March and only noticed it sometimes during decelerating, but the tires were so loud I rarely heard anything. Now with the quiet all terrains it's driving me nuts.

I've put close to 10k miles on them and towed/off-road plenty and no issues at all, no vibration, no grinding noise, just humming coming from the diff/diffs. I followed the break-in cycle to a T and did the fluid change with no metal shavings at 500 miles. Maybe its time to go back to mud terrains to block out the noise :rofl:.
this is defintely a side effect of re-gearing nobody talks about. I have noticed this as well with a past build.

I will say I never have mine in the repair shop. I do all my own work and do enjoy it. From the sounds of it, it’s a damn front wheel bearing and should be an easy fix. Parts show up tomorrow.

If I could do it all over I would have stuck with a +25 or +35 offset. I should have done research and found out that a 0 offset is just too aggressive and the bad wheel bearing is all on me.

Same: I do everything myself. The biggest accomplishments so far are the rebuild of engine and transmission. I lost oomph, though, after doing same sh!t over and over again (it was on a European car, lol). Better spend time on something you never did before, like building a boat, right?

Planning on stacking some tall 11.50s on the new Trug. I’m more comfortable in my skin with the Toyotas of War look. High trim/utility. I’ve intentionally put factory steel wheels on every Toyota I’ve owned, and I’ve owned a bunch.
Here’s some 17 x 9 widened FJC factory Steelies.
I have such fond memories of building this truck with yuo! @js0k Can’t wait to do another knuckle boil in the fall!

Put to the stockers back on the Tundra until I figure out what my next step is. It sure is nice having all of that power back and the tranny shifts better too. Might stay with stock wheels and a slightly bigger tire this time. Oddly enough the Sequoia doesn’t give a crap about the big tires, it shifts fine, drives great, no rub issues, and it looks good. The Tundra was pain to get them to work.

Over the course of 1 month of ownership, my Tundra has leaked 13 drops of oil on my driveway. Started doing some reading around about leaks at the bell housing. I found a post in the 200 series section about changing the PCV valve after having a very similar small oil leak. So, $16 for OEM vs $$$? for a RMS job, I’ll try it. I do not feel that the RMS is in my wheelhouse for DIY.
Probably a good choice either way, as this one was gunked up and not very springy. $16 well spent I guess.
Worth noting that I am aware that I used the FlexFuel PCV Valve, it was what the OP used in the post and apparently, what was on the truck anyway. These were identical with the green cap.
