Seats are now tied to the cage with 5 point harnesses. Also installed a Better Built metal box to put gear in to clean up the cab plus keep it from beating me up when I roll it.

Drained and filled the fan clutch with 20k fluid. Got a little warm climbing hills in NC, maybe it'll help the a/c too.

View attachment 1292833 View attachment 1292832 in my never ending quest...found out that I have a bad cam position sensor (or what appears to be) on the 5.7. Maybe this coming weekend I'll get it swapped out, got to find my scan tool so I can set the "crank offset" I think its called. Basically you have to connect the scanner and watch one specific sensor reading and it has to be as close to zero as you can get it. (zero refers to a certain orientation of the distributor). Its one of those games where you move the distributor back and forth and its either a little bit too far off in the pos direction or too much in the negative direction. Last time I gave up after about an hour screwing with it and got it somewhere under 2.0 degrees which the ECM accepts, just bumping it a little bit gets to move too far.
For those with OBDII there are some nice little applications for your tablet (if you have one, or computer or phone) that will allow you to display gauges and other factors the ECM on your specific vehicle reads, along with showing trouble codes and clearing trouble codes among other things. It probably works better on the newer vehicles that have OBD2...my engine is a 1999 year model, use the word torque in a search on your android or applie apps. You buy the cheap app and then have to get a little "dongle" thing....that connects to your ALDL connector in your car...the dongle connects to the android or other device by wifi and some will connect with blue-tooth. The one I'm using right now is wifi, I was too lazy to go hunt down my real scanner, but now I have to find it, to set the crazy cam sensor, once I get that installed.
@jason in tn links and panhard look beefy, you make them?
Also, the rear shocks that came off the 80 seemed to have some charge left if you are still looking.
