What did you do with your truck today?

And it was worth it from what I can tell so far. I need to get a new pyro put in since my other one stopped working. Hopefully I can run it at +100hp now and not get high EGTs

what year is your truck?

1994 It says Turbo Diesel on the side but its the early Powerstroke. I think the same as yours.

So it is a powerstroke, not the old idi, correct? And it does have a turbo but no intercooler?

I tried to get a guy to come down on a 95 4 door 4wd srw F350, but his bosses "got to move this truck" number and mine were a good bit apart. Oh well, didn't need to spend that $$ right now anyway I guess.

Yes it is the DI 7.3 with the turbo. I don't think they started adding the intercooler until 98 or 99? Correct me if I'm wrong.

I think thats right... the first year or so of the diesels in the fords were non turbo models, then went turbo then went intercooler as I recall. I drove a 99 super duty many ...many miles when I was working in a body shop at one point. I know the 98 or 99 model we had was intercooled.

Any turbo setup would benefit from an intercooler.... I've been told the banks intercooler is a good one (aftermarket)

I can definitely tell a difference. Mine was given to me which is a huge plus, especially after reading that some people spend up to $1,500 on them. Otherwise I still wouldn't have an intercooler. From what I can tell it is a 99-00 intercooler because it doesn't have the plastic ends on it.

97 was the first intercooled and the only old body style w/ intercooler

Refreshed my bumpers with duplicolor graphite metallic paint, and got one step closer on the trailer build! A buddy from work helped me drill holes in frame and attach the whole thing to the camper

I POR'd it!!

Apparently on the early models they welded the bumperette mounts to the frame instead of bolting them on. So I spent a few hours this afternoon cutting them off.

Cleaned up the frame and hit it with a coat of flat black

And then got the Mrs to help me lift it into place.

There are some thru bolts and I think they ship some washers to shim it with, so I need to call IPOR and see what I need to get to get it all level and fully attached.

I also found some rust on the back of the passenger side wheelwell that will need some attention soon, but that will go on the list of things to do after it gets settled in at the farm.

Nice, Matthew!

Had a relay rod end come apart on the 60 on the way to work yesterday morning. That was a fun ride!

Sounds like it would be, anything else get damaged getting stopped?

Totally different from Overland Expo. Looks badass!
