I went from carrying my spare laying down to upright in the back of my 470.
Strapped in circumference as well as retained side to side. I can improve on this but it is secure for now...

I'be seen a good rack that mounts to 3rs row bracket and has plate that bolts to 1 or 2 lug locations. Clever, clean, secure and pretty simple.
Interesting. Gotta name or a link?
There is a desert style universal upright bolt down but its pushing $750 - not doing that.

EDIT: I am finding a lead or two... Cross Industries

I replaced the 17 year old torn and polished leather upholstery with new perforated leather from lseat.com

it took a good four hours doing the driver’s seat as an upholstery noob. The leather isn’t as supple as oem but it has good friction to hold me on the seat. The fit isn’t perfect, especially the headrests if I had known, I would have left the oem leather on even though it’s not a perfect match.

The armrest is a bit baggy too but it had to go.

Found a cheap Bronco rear cargo drawer on marketplace and it turns out it basically bolts right into the GX470 with a tiny bit of modification. I reused the cargo tie down holes and drilled and tapped them to M8x1.25 to reuse the factory Bronco drawer hardware. The front two holes line up perfectly with the predrilled holes in the drawer. For the rear, you need to mark and drill two new holes in the bottom of the drawer but then they bolt right in using the included hardware. I haven't seen a cheaper and easier way to get a rear drawer than this. Install took me about 2 hours including figuring all of this out.

Got the first pair of our new Fog Light Replacement Brackets in. These are a direct, bolt-in replacement for your OEM fog light housings and allow you to mount your choice of LED pods in place of the stock fogs.

@Maxacceleration
It was a buddy's rig like 3.5.years.ago (pst @Lifted) . I don't know if it was production or custom.
Coincidentally, When looking for another post on another topic I happened to run across this one which may shed light on the spare mount rack.

Also just stumbled onto this one....

Ok, another quick accessory. A molle panel for my console tunnel (Victory 4x4). We know how our console is lacking in usefulness.
Just an attempt for additional knick knacks, even though I try to keep the knick knacks down lol. Water or coffee container usage mostly.
I got molle panels on the brain... :woot:

I got the V4x4 console molles too, then realized our console tunnel is Asymmetrical, so I didn't mount the passenger side panel. But yeah, the GX sorely lacks storage!! I covet my buddy's MDX cubbies and another buddy's Xterra storage areas

Are you planning on putting together another one of your excellent write ups?
Honestly, I wasn't planning on it. It's been documented many times over so I didn't think it was particularly necessary.

I may write up an article that pulls all of the resources into one place if that would be helpful.

Did a nice little 3k mile road trip for the holiday. My wife, my mother in law, my 4 dogs and my self from MT to IL and back. Fuel economy was abysmal at best but the GX did fantastic and had zero issues the whole time. We spent a lot of time at gas stations so that’s about the only picture I have 😂

GXs do make great and comfortable road trip vehicles! You may want to try a hitch-mounted cargo carrier next time to help with MPGs a little bit.

Making progress on the non-nav conversion. Definitely not something I'd like to do again, but it's getting there.
