Someone needs to try out the new TVS1320 for the old 3.4L. Only 97 and 98 T100 are listed as compatible.

Sure I can.

Available all day long 1 day turnaround.
I wasn’t sure since there seems to be conflicting info if it’s shared with the 2nd gen 4Runner but it appears not at risk at discontinuing anytime soon

Bought one, and drove it 500 miles home, following my 99 Tacoma. 214,000 miles and had been with the same owner since 71k. Zero rust, 1997 5 speed, 4wd 3.4 V6. Overall it runs great and is in good condition, but needs some love as it’s been sitting in the old boy’s yard forever. Would love to ditch the the bench seats for buckets and center console, and it really needs new shocks. Any recommendations?

I know it's a older post, i used to have a 95 2wd, shocks felt bad bouncing around so i bought new genuine shocks from the dealer i remember they were super cheap like maybe $20 or so. put them on and felt exactly the same.. i guess that's how Toyota wanted it. i put KYB gas-a-just on and way better.

amazing truck, sold it to a friend it's hes daily and has 350,000 last time he had it in for service.

I have some Bilsteins to go on when I return home from a work trip. Looking forward to how it rides with the new shocks.

Overall I’m impressed with the truck, it has the same 5VZ engine that my 99 Tacoma has. The Tacoma has 330,000 miles on it and never any issues with the motor. The best thing about this T100 is that it has zero rust.

the bilsteins will be great I'm sure. The truck I bought spent most of its life in Texas and has been undercoated almost every year that it's spent in Ohio, about 10 years in Ohio now still almost no rust the undercoating works.

Lots of maintenance recently, pulling on all available OEM parts still in the pipeline:

1. New hood latch cable (OEM)
2. New clutch slave and master (Aisin)
3. New clutch kit (Aisin)
4. Machine fly wheel
5. New CVs (aftermarket: OEM disco)
6. New inner and outer TREs (aftermarket)
7. New pedal pads (OEM)
8. New clutch and brake pedal pivot bushings and springs (OEM)
9. Front sway bar bushings (OEM)

This Tee will serve a number of functions for its owner (not me; I just maintain it). Most of the time it will be a roadtrip with bikes truck and a Baja mobile. Ergo, it needs to be reliable as fǔck.

How come you didn’t do OEM for the tie rods? And clutch parts?

There is one OEM CV out there but it’s pricy. PartsSouq.

Aisin/Nachi/NSK are OEM. The cost savings is real for the Aisin aftermarket parts which I'm good with.

TREs are consumeable based on how this truck will be used. Easier with the cheaper stuff since it will be replaced often.

Yeah, not buying a new OEM CV from DXB. No interest. This is a farm/fun truck.
