I put an ugly dent in the lift gate backing into that tree behind the 4Runner.
Oh well, didn't get skunked fishing..

Sadly, I've done the same thing... with the lift gate open...I put an ugly dent in the lift gate backing into that tree behind the 4Runner.

Ouch! You win.
Does it still latch?Had to work it a little but it opens and closes just fine now! Its just not perfectly weather sealed anymore. Thankfully it doesn't rain more around here!Ouch! You win.Does it still latch?
Figure I can remove the inside panel and knock some of it back to normal, except for the factory creases.

That looks really rugid and professionally done. I am always amazed by artisans of metal and creativity! WOW!I welded up a frame to hold the battery box for my LiTime 230AH LiFePO4. The battery is massive and the quicky install I did so I could get to Uvalde left a lot to be desired.
I bought a Noco battery box sized for a 4D battery. A box for a 4D is a little too long and a little too wide, but I couldn't find any other size battery that would fit the length of my battery. The Noco box look well made and sturdy enough to ride in the Taco.
I designed the battery box frame to attach to my modular bed frame. I think I'll add some feet in the front for stability, but it should get me through my Memorial Day weekend camping trip.
The lid for the Noco box screws on and provides great protection for the battery terminals and the fuse holder on the top. Last thing I need to do is get the cables going to the Victron solar charger and DC-DC charger in a flexible conduit to protect them. I'd hate to cut a cable and start arc welding in the cab while wheelin.

Nice!Mounted some 35x11.5r17 Nitto Ridge Grapplers onto some Icon Rebound Pro wheel with their "beadlock-esque" claims. Excited to try them out!
If anyone is interested in the old set of five 285/75/r17 tires & wheel combo I posted in the For Sale thread with a Mud price of $800
The most used accessory!
Great choice of tires. Very quite on the road for a mud terrain, get louder and the tread wears down but not like cheap MT that you can hear coming from a mile away.Swapped KO2’s for Yokohama Mud Terrains on the mall crawler. Stayed with 315’s.
