For those of you in the cracked chin club what did you end up doing? Did you just order new plastic? How many of you are planning on going with an aftermarket bumper? I plan on eventually putting on the dissent bumper but having to take it there for the install huge pain in the ass. Probably worth it in the end.

Mobile body shop with epoxy welder. Good as new. With a bit more orange peel for luck.

Not bad, especially for a location that is prone to road rash anyway. If I were to get one I’d also be in the camp of having a set of dissent low pro bumpers installed. Just sucks that it’s a major inconvenience if you don’t live nearby.

Has anyone removed this chin/lip plastic? It looks like the fog light would be attached from above. Mostly just curious what it looks like...

It's not, there is a bracket that screws in to the lip that the light mounts to.

Too bad victory/cbi are not coming out with gx550 style low profile bumpers where you just have to remove the lower fascia.

I did talk to expedition one, guess they have plans for a bumper in the fall, and slee has plans to make theirs available in the summer so we should have more options soon

Just got got a quote from Dissent. I am upgrading my 600 to an OT, it arrives in a couple of weeks. Dissent is booked out until September. They quoted me 22K for a front and reach bumper w/winch. Yowzers! How am in supposed to slip that expense past my wife. And I thought we were finally past dealers charging over MSRP.... now the fabricators are!

22k for bumper and winch? Did i get that correct. That's bonkers.

Sorry, typo, Front and REAR bumper. I mean, it includes the winch and lights... but still. Just sucks because this is the only low profile bumper on the market. The slee is just way more than I am looking for. I've installed every after market product (tires don't count!) on every vehicle I've every owned, I think this will be my 5th bumper install, so it just sucks to not handle on my own. I get these vehicles are getting more and more technical, but still...

I guess that is where competition is a good thing. Looks like, so far, they are the only game in town. So, can charge whatever.

Its about $1,000 (or less actually) to get a new painted chin (the front bumper piece everyone keeps breaking). Maybe I'll just buy 2 or 3 to have on standby . Any maybe I'll even go against everything I believe in and call CBI and beg them to produce a low profile bumper. Everything I have ever ordred from CBI has arrived missing pieces and parts. It takes months to complete an install because their quality control and cusotmer support is so bad.

I would strongly recommend taking a look at slee

I remember a arb summit bumper on a LX. Any info on those?

For lack of a good place to post this I’m putting out here.

Ohhhh boy hope it’s the v8TT!

“Gazoo Racing is its own genuine brand, but there is a story of where is comes from and how it can find its way into any of our products: Toyota currently. I don’t think we’ll ever see a GR [badge] on a Lexus, that’s not in the cards,” said Jeff Bal, Director of the Sports Car Program for Gazoo Racing. “GR is going to be its own thing, but it’s going to inspire [other] brands. Maybe the next-generation LX, IS F Sport, or RAV4 will have something that was learned and built from a GR product.”

My blendmount from the 200 didnt play nicely with the digital rearview mirror... so tried Ready Set Radar from New Zealand. Fits great and radar easy disconnects without fiddling with power cords. Awesome system and minimal bounce. We were able to use a dashcam harness to neatly plug into the rearview mirror without splices or running power up from the fuse panel.

With long roadtrips, modern radar detectors are worth their weight in gold!

Does that use adhesive on the glass?

It does - small square of 3m adhesive.

I prefer not using adhesive but my radar doesnt weight much more than my ezpass and that's never fallen....

The square looks like it's part of the rear view mirror from the outside and on the inside, I cant see it unless the radars mounted. Nice not fiddling with a wire for the disconnect.

Cant attach the video but they have them here: Most Innovative Radar Detector Mount - https://www.readysetradars.com/
