Believe you also must seal the drain in the air box, at least the video I watched said to do that 🤷🏻‍♂️

Hello,

Yes, that is the new/replacement part. It is the one I used. And yes, it plugs right in.

As a confirmation of the electrical test, I tried to plug the faulty relay into a 71 Series. That is how I found out about the change in size, because the old part did not fit there.

I try to test relays on another truck, in order to confirm the multimeter's results. I think it is good practice, and a way to spot/confirm electrical gremlins as well.

Hey Juan,

Will the flasher really you mentioned (P/N 8198032010) fix hyper flash with LED turn signal bulbs in the 70? Or is it simply a replacement for the original flasher relay that is no longer available.

Thanks.

Hello,

It is a replacement part for a relay that is discontinued. It does not fix hyper flash.

Hyper flash with LED turn bulbs occurs because LED bulbs draw less current than incandescent bulbs. It is necessary to add a resistor between the relay and each bulb to handle the additional current. It is also possible to find an LED bulb with a built-in resistor/circuit for the same purpose.

Hi
So, what's the expert tip how to do this?
The edges of the debossed letters are actually not straight. Masking that with tape for spraying is a nightmare.
I painted those manually and had acceptable results with a paint pen marker to go around the edges to cover up imperfections.
Cheers Ralf

installed a spare wheel bag today. happy with the result. found it in an online retailer for the half price of the "well known" brands. looks sturdy and waterproof for now.

I’m also curious.

I wonder if vinyl would be a decent solution.

Wahooo…..getting somewhere at last.
A bit tricky getting the preload correct on the new wheel bearings in view of the fact there are new seals also giving “ that extra drag” as it were.
All new Koyo wheel bearings , NTN for the swivels, and a fancy new disc.
Right hand side do tomorrow.
Having pre ordered a fair bit of stuff 6 months ago all helps a smooth transition.
