Cleaning up my new/old Prado rims. Many thanks to John Gabor of Abbotsford for a great listing and transaction and to BC RHD 4WD Facebook Page for giving us a place to meet.

5 of each: Rims are 16x6 inches with 3.5" BS (no spacers required) and tires are LT235/85R16 M-55 Toyos with lotsa tread left. :bounce::bounce2:

You're not driving a Land Rover so you can eat the screwdriver and pliers first. :)
Wow .... 41
That's the same age a Cruiser has to be to be legally imported into the U.S. : )

Got a set of lx450 wheels & some hankook mud terrain 315/75/16. Jus a little rubbing in the rear front fenders where the mud flaps when turning in compression. waiting on the leaf springs bushings.. & reverse shackle. my nephew posting on the second picture.
Looks good!! Are you doing a shackle reversal? As in your shackles will end up behind your front axle. In which case obviously you can move the mounts as required to eliminate the tire rubbing. Or did you mean anti inversion shackles? In which case I would recommend you do what most of us have done when fitting 35" tires and redrill the holes for centering pins on the axle leaf spring perches 25-30mm back. Moving the axle forward and giving more tire clearance (more then that will cause drag link and tie rod interference)

I finally had time and space to get my new windshield and frame put together with the new rubber.

Nothing lately but rain rain nothing but bloody rain looking forward to dry times this winter I hope. 450 mm rain in the next 24 hours. :)

Rain here too. I have been told I get the use of one small part of our school's garage for the weekend.
I'll go down there near quitting time to find out.

Discovered that at some point in my truck's past, the transfer shifter gate was modified to allow for a 2Low position and to allow shifting directly between 2Hi and 2Low ....

I washed the BJ74 and filled the tank full of bio-diesel in anticipation of a road trip this weekend. :)

Changed all of the diff/tranny/xfer case fluids and installed 10mm Allen head plugs with magnets and new gaskets.

Plugs: 90341-18021
Diff/tranny gaskets: 12157-10010
Xfer gaskets: 90430-A0003

Did not realize the tranny / tcase gaskets were different from diffs.

Wonder how bad I screwed up.

Rule of thumb: Metal crush gaskets against metal housings; Aluminum crush gaskets against aluminum housings.

:)
Should have thought about that .... Dissimilar metals and galvanic corrosion ......
