wow, that is low price!!Windscreen crack seemed to appear out of nowhere 10 days ago or so. Maybe it started "behind" the inspection sticker.

1993-19951995-1997 correct?
In 1996 it got replaced by the kzj90 and that came out with the 1KZTE . We already had the 1KZTE in the 4Runner before that so the non E version is pretty rare . It took a long time before Europeans started appreciating the KZJ7 series but now they are as pricey as the HZJ7x models .Thank you for the correction of information, Joeri!!![]()

Wheelbase is the biggest difference plus only the Euro models had the 1KZT while all the rest had the less desirable 1KZTE that needs some work to remove the early emmision systems that can get problematic .Do you know what the major differences are between the KZJ7x series? The 71/73 look like they have the same engine/suspension/transmission options as the KZJ78 but they're two doors instead of four. I've been trying to find the differences between them all and it seems like the 78 (prado) was built just as sturdy as the non-prado models.
We've got a 78 prado and we love it. The 1kzte is a good little engine.
KZJ/LJ/RJ 7x are all Prado with the same engine, nose, and more upmarket interior than the FJ/FZJ/BJ/HJ/HZJ/PZJ7x, as well as the coil vs leaf suspension.Do you know what the major differences are between the KZJ7x series? Prado are only SWB, MWB and LWB wagon, no ute or troopy versions.

Definitely not the same engines....
KZJ: KZ family of engines
LJ: L family of engines
RJ: R family of engines
That's based on model yearsI don't think they are all the same nose either as mentioned earlier. Not sure why but some LJ7X models have a different nose than other LJ7X models.
