Installed an aftermarket 24V (not RS3200) keyless system with some OEM stuff added....a Frankenstein set up pretty much. I posted a little about this earlier but decided to wait until now to show the videos.

The key fob is p/n 89742-37080. Often used for the 70 series in what I believe is Japan and Australian markets.

The Toyota security light is an used unit from ebay and only serves as a dummy light to show vehicle is locked.

Monsoon stopped last night and gave me a chance to finish off the rear axle R&R

My 90 HZJ77 I guess i is a transition model wrt inner hub seals due to disk brakes and the correct seal has a rubber lip that stands up high....which makes it more difficult to seat the inner bearing seal.

Pulled dust covers and cleaned up end of axle housing and touched up with rustoleum, applied permatex to keep moisture out of that metal on metal junction and hopefully prevent surface rust in future.

The old inner seals are a bitch to pull because of lack of leverage....if you have an extra rim you can mount the hub on the rim and boom.....lots of leverage and easy peasy to remove that old seal with a seal puller

Turns out that the old inner race with proper orientation make a perfect tool to seat the new inner hub seal.

New cone washers and nuts with a liberal application of anti seize lube to ensure that when I need to re-pack hubs down the road it isnt a multi day event to get stuff pulled apart.

Both front and rear axles are now done....moving on to exhaust replacement.

I love those old Datsun 510's. I must have had 10-12 of them back in the day (like, the 1980's). You could go to the Datsun dealer and get all the racing bits: Suspension, carbs, cams, etc. Awesome!

eBay, a couple years ago. Planning to keep a close eye on it.

I bought one a few years ago from I bet the same vendor off eBay….. pressure tested it prior to install and it’s been 100%. A buddy did the same thing and he’s going on a year with no issues. Pretty solid radiator!!!!

I purchased a new OEM brass radiator from a local dealer on 4/10/23 for my HZJ77. Went to pick it up about a month later on 5/10/23 and it was damaged during transit to the dealer from the parts depot so I rejected it on the spot and had a replacement ordered and still haven't gotten it and now it is 6/19/23. A bit over two months of dealing with trying to get a new radiator from a local dealer. After speaking with @OGBeno at length about this, the problem seems to be that the dealers in San Antonio are in the GST region rather than TMSUSA region.

Funny thing is that the parts depot for GST is only three hours from me but I can't go pick it up there.

I wish partsouq would ship radiators. They shipped me a windshield from Dubai and it arrived intact and packaged well.

They must be reading mud. They called me to let me know it arrived but it also came damaged. They ordered #3 They say the third time is the charm. What is another month after I waited two months now.

Genius is what ATL Cruiser did to use a RS3200 set up. I didn’t on the back end.

I was going to do a write up but I just haven’t done it yet. I am not good at those.

Which part#? We likely have in stock.

Getting ready to check valve clearances and order shims where needed for my 1HZ.

Picked up valve cover gasket (11213-17010) and intake manifold/plenum (crossover pipe) gasket (17115-17010). (Cruiser Outfitters had both in stock).

First time working on the 1HZ so I decided to try to dummy proof it for myself as much as possible and created a worksheet I can fill out, work off and retain in records for next time/track changes.

Hey Kurt. It is the 16400-17080 radiator for 1HZ manual transmission. The dealer is ordering it again for the third time. Had I known you stock these, I would have just gotten my money back and order it from you.

Hello,

Do PartSouq not ship radiators? That is a bummer. A radiator from them is on my long-term wish list.

Do you happen to have 16400-66060 or 16400-66150? Just curious.

Last time I checked, I didn’t see any listed but I am realizing their inventory offerings is dynamic so who knows now or in the future?
