I need to order some engine mounts.
Are the mounts for transmission also Japan-only?

Some more Japan only items:

Glass uns for the front door glass. These are different than the solid door glass runs:

And interior and exterior weatherstrips/belt mouldings: again these are different for the soft top/removable door frames vs the solid doors:

And finally I am doing a front axle rebuild on Sunday and in a first for me in Land Cruiser ownership, I will be using aftermarket parts.

After thinking long and hard and comparing quality, I am very impressed with the completeness and quality of the Terrain Tamer knuckle/wheel bearing kits. All Koyo bearings as they should be and all of the parts are robust. The gaskets are thick gasket material; The oil seals look identical to the OEM seals and they are solid too.

I'm very excited to utilize this kit and I think, for the first time in many years, these parts are of equal quality as the OEM, possibly better.

The quality of these parts certainly blow away the AAIE stuff that I've used before and have been very unhappy with.

Thanks to @wardharris and @orangefj45 for giving me thr opportunity to work with them.

Waiting on a memory card for my Camera and dont have a phone at the moment, but will get some pics on Monday.

Just picked up another FJ75 with a rust free cab, new suspension bushes and tray with new hardwood floor.

I will get some shots of them both early next week and post them :)

Rob expressed the same positive review when he installed the kit on my HJ75.
.....thanks Ward.

:)

Yes that kit looks great!

Beno, all these pretty new parts that you're showing us pictures of that you note as Japan only, are they just available to highfalutin parts ninjas like yourself, or to the mere mortals like us who just know said ninja?!

I'm mainly doing it to show folks that things are still available through Toyota supply lines.

A secondary type of reason is that I like being representative of what I preach. I like OEM parts-- a lot. I also think that doing things right is the best possible option in any given situation. These parts is that characteristic, manifest. I also want my truck to look nice, perform correctly and well and not have one single "weak link" when I want it to perform--being off roading or just easily putting the windows up, or trying to elimanate NVH with new insulators....

Oh Now I'm even more pissed...

What I am pointing to is the stock frame rail...

FML. This is an absolute nightmare. Wish I had a plasma cutter. :bang:

I literally just ordered a Miller plasma after this experience through my friend @CID 96 who runs a welding supply shop in my town. Unfortunately, it will be a bit late for this game.
