Doing valve cover gaskets, tube seals, spark plugs, coil boots, lower ball joints, and bearing re-pack this weekend and next before a 2,250 mile road trip to northern Wisconsin and back. Moog got new greaseable ball joints for the 100 series. Probably could get away with not doing any of it...but not wanting to tempt fate at my mileage. O yeah, and I'm gonna fix the e-brake.

I always thought those photos you see on the internet with brake rotors were spoofs until I found this on a neighbor's car when I took it apart...

She had also complained that her brakes were noisy...

I replaced all the heater hoses and valve at the firewall before putting engine back in. They shorted me one hose😡. At least I can get to it easily with engine in.

I took advantage of the heat and humidity and installed new brakes on my small trailer, repacked bearings and installed new seals. Man I love the A/C in my shop.

Why yes, those are 8 lug!

Pulled up the front carpet in my 62 to poke around, check the condition of everything underneath, and consider adding new insulation/noise-proofing. Overall the metal is in great shape but a lot of the jute padding stuck to the factory-applied layer beneath it on the driver’s side. Passenger side is pretty clean.
