Update on hub after replacing brake backing plate, same test drive route, speeds ect, temperature is down 20*F on right side from 145*F to 125*F. But right side is still 25*F higher than left rear (100*F). In comparison front hubs are 80 to 90*F. So decision time, do I let it roll or replace right rear hub assembly?

The hub itself will have nothing to do with it. Bearings and brakes will be where it is at. Is the caliper sticking any? No drag on parking brake?

If all that checks out ok I would run it for a while.

I've got the parking brake adjusted all the way off for now, no dragging sounds heard or felt. Caliper compresses easily, so appears to be ok. I ensured races are fully seated. I'll keep my eye and temp gun on it.

800 Km = 497 miles = diff oil change after new gear install. Completed last night. Next up left front window no longer works, diagnose if I don't work late tonight. It's been slow up and down, now does nothing. Going to order new window run channels as part of this repair and whatever other parts needed after diagnostic.

Wow thanks! I need to do the same at some point

I figured I wasn't the only one. My recommendation is do it sooner than later, you might save yourself a $223 window motor.

Good to know. All but the driver window sometimes you need to go down when it’s halfway up before you can keep going up. I’m sure it needs them

93 and newer 80 series, Window Run channel, Belt moulding, Left front window motor assy, and front inner weather strip ordered. Mid May arrival date from Amayama. All parts coming from Japan. Parts price comparison is Amayama vs Oursman online.

Does N/A mean not available or not applicable on your list? Only ask because I was able to find them a couple months ago, if you needed them.

Not available. Please send me your connection for them.

The weatherstripping that goes on the door card? Here are the part numbers I ordered from partsouq. I have them installed on the door card and they look to fit, but it will be ages until I put the door cards back on. Let's see what @Toyodajunkie sends you too as a cross reference.

I used the same part numbers as @RICVirginiaHJ61 from same place. Also haven’t installed them but looks to be the right parts.

Allegedly those are available at Ourisman...nevermind. Wrong part #

Beach, thanks for the comparison. Definitely always good to compare. I have been doing the same here and there to keep some costs down.

Some other things to consider. When calling for in person pickup you get a slightly better overall price from Ourisman than when you order online. Atleast with what I have tracked so far. And if they don't have it instock and have to order it in you don't pay shipping.

Now this has me thinking that maybe I start a thread in the private section to start tracking this form all club members....

Well at relic run I put a slightish bend in a rear lower control arm. Was on my mind to reinforce the RLCA but hadnt gotten around to it. Today I picked up a piece of 1/4wall DOM and cut it in half to weld to a new set of SPC links for the 80. Have a couple dance recitals and a “May the 4th” party to host this weekend but hoping to find the time to get them on.

Also picked up some new front shocks and springs but that’s for a different post.

On to some pics of the mock up.

If you do plan out the night you work on this post it up I would be interested in watching you weld it up. Also planning to do a rear swing out and would like to talk about it with you after your recent experience. Already have the swing out part just have to weld the spindle to the bumper and figure out the latching system.

and it begins. I have had this idea in my head from day one of purchasing this trailer. Going to put a RTT on it. More details to come...
