Here - Music videos for old people:

I have been a guitar player for over 60 years. Played in bands from the 1960’s up until about 7 years ago… rock to bluegrass. When you find some one who has a great talent …you just enjoy watching it all come together. Listening to Josh Turner for about 5 years now and it has all come together. Some of the older people here will appreciate some of his covers..

When you think about what it takes in talent to create a sound, you’ll enjoy this…and a bunch of others

I have been a Tracy Chapman fan forever, song is 35? years old. What's old is new again, great duo.

Was a weird "vibe" for me last night at Koka Booth watching Trampled By Turtles. Felt like maybe half the crowd were fans and the other half just showed up to sit around and drink. Beautiful venue - acoustics are OK. TBT had so little energy for Whiskey - felt like they were on autoplay - but found the same style at a different event:

We were there too. I think Koka screwed up by not having a pit. All chairs sucked. This is about the 5 or so time seen TbT (albeit several years since last time) and just a way way different vibe than I was used to or expecting. I thought the audio blew chunks. We were 4th row and anticipated using our hearing protection (like we do most shows), but instead you could speak easily at normal conversational volume. Took some of the energy out of the crowd IMO. 2/3 of the front section sat the whole show.

Another audible gem:

“We dared to win”

You have to be on the old side to remember this one. I had the album and about wore it out. still know the entire drum solo in my head. the end of the drum solo where the keys come in is my favorite part. This song took the whole side of the record.

One of these guys just passed a few weeks ago…great song and a great time period. I was probably 19 and times were….well, very liberal

For the longest time I thought they were saying "In the Garden of Eden" :)

@weejub I’ve been a guitarist for over 63 years and played in all kinds of bands from the mid 1960’s till only 10 years ago or so…from rock to bluegrass….

IT’S AMAZING how many times I have no clue what the lyrics were to some song phrases…neither did the singers I have played with over the decades…
Especially that Stairway to Heaven” Led Zeppelin tune… bustle in your hedgerow??? wtf!

I was just typing that John

2 things come to mind here for me:

"hold me closer Tony Danza"
and
Yellow Ledbetter - the entire song
