4th gear synchro, looks kind of like a carbon lined synchro, i know from other older R and older W series toyota transmissions were just straight brass, from the ones i have worked on anyway.

So i took a chance the other day on this *used but in good condition* part from the amazon warehouse, this is the 2nd part I have purchased through amazon warehouse that ended up being brand new, but the first that said used but in good condition. Well it turns out that it is brand new too with zero damage anywhere haha. list price $80+ I got it for $30 shipped free via prime lol. It's A denso parallel flow condenser part number 4770554. IIRC there was 2 in stock so if you need one i'd grab it.

Definitely not chinesium... in my opinion it fits quite well in the stock area. I can get a measurement tomorrow, it holds a quart not including the filter. Kartek is a retailer and also builds some serious off road stuff for trophy truck, KOH type builds, and all sorts of buggy and general 4x4 vehicles. They are based in so-cal Power Steering Reservoirs - Kartek Off-Road - https://www.kartek.com/parts-categories/power-steering-reservoirs.html
Wow, the price isn't too shabby given the extortive price of an OEM reservoir with it's poor "crimp seal" design and standard hose clamp. Wish I'd gone this route.

Wow, this is an amazing build! Very nice work indeed.

I'm not sure my entire lifetime of tinkering combined makes me worthy of viewing this work. I'm feeling a whole range reading through this thread; from straight up desire and envy to awe and excitement to inadequacy and shame. :p

Feel like I have to look over my shoulder to see if the wife or kids catch me looking at this curvy fabrication beauty! :shame:

Keep it up, I'll be watching from the corner.

Excellent Work.....done right!

@audi2nr I noticed you were swapping input shafts on your H151. Were you unable to find the H151 for the 1FZ?
You know, now that I really take a hard look at everything I'm not sure why Dave sourced the UZJ100 transmission. I believe at the time he said it was the only one he could get his hands on, but looking up the part numbers for the FZJ100/105 H series right now, it seems they are still available too and would have alleviated this whole issue. either way... now i have a UZJ input shaft assembly maybe its time to look for a 100 🤔🤔 😂 😂

I think I grabbed the wrong photo out of my photos. I meant to post the 151 I purchased earlier this year. I bought at the same time I purchased the coil pack 1FZ engine assembly. I’ll track it down.
Wouldn't by chance have a good picture of the transfer case tjats in your desiel 80 build maybe even part #? Been working with Dave on it . Sorry not trying to hijack thrrad here.

Not readily available. I think it’s in the thread somewhere but not sure when it was actually purchased. I’ll dig around if I get a minute.

yep that looks identical to what i have just that one came with an fz bell and input shaft. things to note like i was saying in our pm conversation, the plate in the middle of the top picture with 6 bolts is where a 100 series (with a bench seat) shifter would mount and it would have a different back half case, this is also where an 80 series shifter would sit and line up perfectly with the 80 series manual tunnel and console trim. the 80 series shifter pops up pretty close to the dash in stock form and putting this trans in an 80 will result in the shifter popping up right where the transfer case shifter currently is in an automatic 80 series rig. thanks for the pics!
