along the edge of the hood. Another pc like this was removed from the other side by the PO and place on the tailgate.

Seen all 5 of those pieces. Have been sort of looking for a stockish replacement to the rear ones. It should not be that hard to come up with the look.

The radiator seals could probably be substituted with some 2" flat rubber. McMaster-Carr

Mcmaster also has L shaped rubber extrusions that would probably work well. I've just never measured them.

Never seen that piece. Doesn't mean it wasn't stock. I'll check the EPC tomorrow and see what they come up with.

Howdy! That piece on the side of the hood looks like a Kmart special. P O was probably too cheap/lazy to look for the little square blocks that screw into the fender for the hood to rest on. John

Actually, the blocks are there as well. Just couldn't figure out what was with the w/s and was there evera an OEM pc that went there?

does anyone know where I could find those little rubber blocks the hood rests on? I checked JC Whitney for something that looked similar, no luck

Howdy! I replaced mine about 6-8 years ago, but I don't remember if they were a dealer item or if I used SOR. John

weeboo....SOR and Cruiserparts.net should both have them; they do make a big difference in the hood rattling around; try getting a hand held impact driver .........Lisle and Matco make very nice and affordable sets...Snap-on/Bluepoint also but a bit pricey they are all USA made :) if the old screws are still in place.........believe they are # 2 phillips then they will probably be very rusty so you might want to hit them with kroil oil or PB Blaster and let sit for a day or more then use the hand held impact driver lightly a few times.if still stuck oil it again...and let it sit .......repeat the impact driver......no hurry ;) if you break the screw heads or strip them then it it time to break out the drill and tap them.................:frown:you might also check MAF for the little blocks

Went and looked. SOR has them at $10.49 or something like that each. 'spensive little bits.

I can't justify paying that kind of money for them myself but found some solid rubber blocks from some of those common pickup truck tie-downs that I used in my 62 storage box. They're pretty close in size so I plan on trying those as a replacement.

another thing that created a hell of a rattle in the front of my pig was the retaining clip for the hood support rod.............cruiserparts has them in stock put one on and the difference was very noticable; believe less than 2$, but it has been a while......SOR also has them, eliminating rattles and rust are full time jobs on piggies:steer:
