Installing a new water pump. Everything is ready to go back in but I have a few questions:

1. Do I use any additional sealant on the gasket surface or just the gasket?
2. Do I use any sealant on the water pump bolts (bolts going into the engine)?
3. Do I use loctite on the fan studs (which color if so)?

The manual doesn't say anything about sealant.

The new water pump (OEM Aisin WPT-023) should have come with a new stamped metal gasket.
Other than a few dabs of grease to keep it in place, no RTV is used. No locktite on threads.
Torque to spec in the FSM.

Do not use FIPG. The PO of mine used it in a few places. Works great for a few yrs, then starts to leak. I'm almost done getting ahead of all of my FIPG spots. Just have the water pump and oil pump cover to go (oil pump cover leaking a little bit).
