Funny , but I have a "Warm Pull" knob in the dash with nothing connected to the other end of the cable coming out thru the firewall in the engine compartment. Can someone shed some light on this?

Perhaps that's why I was so cold on the way home :)

Can someone post a photo? I have looked and I just don't see where it should connect... I may be missing something.

This is on a '76 BTW.

Thanks a ton

Here is a photo of mine, note the cable poking thru the firewall right near the red heater hose.
Was there supposed to be a valve there? Does this mean that hot fluid flows thru the heater core nonstop - and is that a bad thing?

probably mounts where those two bolts are just up and in from the cable. i'll get a pic of mine tonight or tomorrow when i get home.

yep missing the heater control valve........but at least you have the mounting bolts.........cineaut might have one still on his 76 that he is parting out.....

My heater valve rusted out, I just bypassed it (just like pic in post #4). No problem, not even in the summer. I did notice that an FJ60 heater valve looks very similar, mounts in the same location and might be an easy replacement...

saw an early pig in Atlanta that had a shutoff valve inside on the passengers side that took out the heated water to the rear blower; might be a solution to keep cool.........I took a picture of it....looked original........just have to find it:o
