Wahoo <$60 fill-up, roadtrip time!

Been a while since gas was this cheap so its time for a road-trip Thinking about heading up north for some fall colors to the S. Sierra's:
Sand canyon wheeler ridge:
Reconnoitering in the Great Basin & Eastern Sierra By 4x4 -Wheeler Crest

Maybe checking out the bristlecone pine forest, silver cyn the next day:
Inyo Forest Roads Total Escape Outside

BTW I was < 1/8" of a tank and 87 was 3.03 (ouside of town) . Recall putting in ~ $90 early this year for the same fill-up

I went and hiked White Mtn once about 5 years ago. We drove in at night and didnt really get a sense for the place. Its like the moon up there in places. Very cool. We checked out the bristle cone pines too...not so exciting, but cool none the less.

Damn...Eastern Sierra sounds like a great trip. Don't have the time and the Lex isn't quite ready yet. (Ripped all plastic off and need to Line-X...also need to replace tie rod that I bent when the truck fell off the the jack in the garage)

Have not been up that way for fun in over a year...only for work.

About 460-500 miles.

The cruiser was about 400 miles.

I was just going to drop $40 in the tank but I got out at the Costco and it was $2.77 and I couldn't believe my eyes. So for $50.25 I got a full tank. It's been a while since it's had a full belly.

What's scary is the 80 got worse gas mileage than the v10 Sportsmobile. The 80 was over loaded and pulling a trailer. Poor girl couldn't get out of her own way.

Damn - I get better than that with the INTI roof rack up there permanently providing wonderful aerodynamics...not, bumpers, winch, fridge, storage box, etc.
