Was looking through some photos on the computer today and ran across some with current and former members of our club. Check out this one from the pig run in July 2006:
The red 40 belongs to Matt Reed he bought it from me and ended up selling it Montano Recinto, who traded it in recently at the Toyota dealer in Selinsgrove. The orange and white pig is mine, the white and green 55 is Jeff Doziers. It was quite the wheeling machine, albeit a bit tippy for me. Looks like the guys are standing in front of Tom Humphries 80 series. I believe the silver FJ belongs to Rich, former pres of the Gotham City club. The FJ Cruiser trail team was with us that day, at the place where this next shot was taken, the trail team guys dragged a stock FJ over this rock and through what was beyond it- much worse. Will Bobbitt, the driver ended up banging his head really hard off the windwo opening when he dropped down hard off a big rock. We actually have that on video, too.
That's Matt Reed spotting me. The merkeys were along that day, this particular trail at paragon was very close to Interstate 81, we'd never been on it before that day. Paragon was a heckuva venue for offroading, it was big and really had a tremendous variety of trails. One last photo here:
That's my piggy on her maiden voyage at Coal Mine in either 2005 or 2006. John Merkey did the spring over that winter and swapped out the mini truck power steering box for a 60 series box. The truck worked perfectly and went down the road straight as an arrow with no vibration- a testimony to john's workmanship. I loved that truck! This picture is at Outer Spare Tire a really neat stream crossing that took you up a steep muddy climb about 200 yards after crossing, through a neat meadow and out to the area of the Artesian Well.
