it looks cool!

thats the same place i want to cut my roof eventually. pretty much behind the front seats. will you still have back seats or not?

Im not sure its the same width, I may have to skin it to make it fit. I think it would look better if it was cut right behind the first door but there would be no roof covering your head and I dont feel like having a leaky soft top dripping water down my neck. So, I opted to keep it and have one less thing to worry about. I plan on stretching canvas over it so it looks like more of the roof is cut.

As for the back seat, its out most of the time so its easier to throw surfboards in the back, but for just about every trip it gets thrown back in for my girlfriend to sleep on the 10 hour trip north to tellico, my co-polit/spotter is also known to sleep the whole way up...he has been since labled "Rip"...

so do you think all the crunch in the quarters is goin to make it difficult to line up on with the bob?

lookin great man

I dont think it will be its just getting all hacked off. Its going to be pain in the ass to make tabs and brackets for the tail lights and gate. I think I might just skin the tail gate to make it easier to mount.

Also the rear lifted about an 1inch with the roof off. I hope the weight of a cage and the thrashing from a good offroad trip will flatten it out.

have you thought about moving your rear shackle mounts to the back side of the rear bumper?

that could lower you ~1/2 inch...not sure if that's enough gain to worry about but it's at least something, and wouldn't be that hard to do since you're already chopping the frame and you'll need to fab up a new rear bumper/xmember.

72 Im not all that worried about it, Once I pile in 1500 lbs of gear and my best bud and my girlfriend im sure they will settle in some after 1400 mile trip and some good flexin at tellico...

Started the front of the exo today, Making compound bends on the first shot is more than challenging for a first timer with the tubing bender. Ill grab some pics sometime or other... :)

did you look at the pirate4x4 info on tube bending?

judging by the cut, you must have a large square of velveeta laying around
wrap it up in cellophane so as not to spoil.....

Here are some shots of the beginning of the exo and the bob job. We got A and B pillars bent today...and a bunch of other stuff im too tired to talk about but will elaborate later...

Much Love...

Nice work boys! Way to start with the tough bends. Looks great. Classic shot of Jer- bent over, grindin w/ flops, no glasses, cig in one hand- we learned from the best! Can't wait to see it and wheel together... a year from now...

Oh yeah, brokenparts, you got the best avatar I've ever seen. Crew Jones rules. Can you get RAD on DVD?
