Sweet, thanks. I assume they come with the black adhesive rope too?

ok, using the supplied p/n's , my local dealer has ordered these for me, and now I have another question?

what exactly is the rope like adhesive called, and I can probably pick that up at a NAPA or such , maybe?
I remember a BMW thread[I have an e46 330ci] and it was called something but now I don't remember exactly, duh !!

thanks for all the help

So glad this thread came up - this is on my list of things to do and I was planning on trying to make my own. This is one part I was sure was no longer available. Please update regarding the adhesive and any tricks or tips when you do the replacement. I suspect it is pretty straight forward but I wonder if it would be easier with two people to have an extra set of hands as you lay it across the door cavity and get the sides and corners set.

Also - glad to hear you were able to source your door panels from CruiserYard. Jason is fantastic to work with and usually has what I'm looking for when a used part is an appropriate option (axles, interior, etc). I also bought a set of 100 series alloy wheels from him so I can run 285 all terrain's on my wife's LX470 for light to moderate wheeling in Colorado when we don't take my 80. Since I live in San Antonio, Jason was flexible in meeting me at a time I was in the Austin area to avoid having to ship 4 wheels.

Since we are on the subject.. Does anyone know how to get the sheet off without destroying it or smearing the tape everywhere? I've been thinking about slicing the tape with a box knife.. But like many others in this thread replacing the destroyed barrier from the previous owner is on my list, but I know I'll have to get into the door in the future and would like to avoid buying new barriers every time.

Also, if you don't have speakers in your front doors the part number is different.

Front door, no door speakers: 67831-60030
Front door, with 9-speaker audio: 67831-60040
Not sure what the difference is, but there are date ranges on the part number for the rear door barriers
Rear door, 1/90-6/94: 67841-60020
Rear door, 7/94-12/97: 67841-60040

YES, Jason is excellent to work with, I am on the east coast, yet I bought an upper rear hatch, drivers front/rear rocker panel cuts and the drivers side doors to repair my rusty cruiser

thanks, that's it, that's what the BMW guys used to reattach the 'foam" vapor barrier. perfect!!

well crap, the previous posts just listed the 60030 as front and the 60040 as rear so I have two each on order, your post indicates a completely different prefix number for the rear [67841] vs 67831 so I will have to order two more for the rear I guess, at 11$ its no big deal though

If you do remove it when its cold out then its less sticky and you can pull on the plastic while using a razor blade to cut near the plastic. Think of it like skinning a deer ;)

My numbers are copy/paste from an online EPC that has been pretty accurate so far. Obviously beno or cdan would be more definitive.

That said, I'm pretty sure the only difference between the speaker and non speaker version for the front door is a notch for the barrier to go around the speaker. Seems very easy to cut this out if needed.

You see the price of garbage bags these days! ;)

My city has banned them altogether
Booo! Move to Phoenix, lots more wheeling spots, it's sunnier here AND we can have plastic trash bags!!
