Good afternoon!

I'm preparing to do a valve adjustment on my HDJ and it appears an SST is in order.
Its the SST 09248-64011 - called the Valve Clearance Adjustment Tool

I'd really like to find someone who could loan or rent me the tool. I'm really good (obsessive) about taking care of tools so it wouldn't get abused! (Naturally I'll pay for shipping both directions)

Thanks!

Hi why you want to adjust the valves?
Is it running rough?Noisey?
How many km?
I've check a few engines and found that the clearance are pretty much right on
You can take the valve cover off and check first,if you need the change shims, you can just make a tool to push the cup down.the shim sit in the cup, need a magnet and a pick to take it out.
Should be able to buy the tool from smells.
Do you have a lot of shims?
I've the tool but I'm in Canada

Hi and thanks for the reply! It has 276K kilometers. I'm not seeing the fuel mileage most are getting and I've been told by a few folks that a valve adjustment along with BEBs are recommended. I don't have any shims yet!
