thanks gm powerplants haul the mail and sound great. I did not waste any money on this project. Ohio has a decent mix of earning potential and low cost of living, and i earned every penny towards my house and landcruiser affliction.

I meant it as a compliment and understand completely the cost of living aspect. You turn around huge and highly complex projects in timelines that often take people years and end up sold before completion. It just seems to be a straight technical path that is worked to the functional end result again and again. Truly impressive and great to see the results.

Thanks I hear you. Its important to me that you all know that I am turning all the wrenches, doing the fab, wiring etc on my projects. Anyone can pay a good shop to do a swap. I enjoy the challenge of this work.

WOW, I would have NEVER supercharged the old terd if I knew this was possible, my brother has a LS1 in his 60 and I love that thing, awesome work Kirk, I would pay pretty good bucks to have this conversion done to my 80

Would the factory exhaust manifolds have worked or the center outlet C6 Corvette ones?

You can also put the manifolds on opposite sides and have them flipped facing forward to think about other exhaust options. And mix/match manifolds from any LS style engine.

Curious what kind of fuel economy this will achieve on the highway....

0 to 110ohms. This is per the book, I would be the 0 is right but the 110 could vary. The gauges i bought can be programed to the range in a custom setup.

Just fine. The axles can hold the power if the driver is responsible in delivering the proper amount of throttle to situations. Even with the 1fz axle breakage can occur. Consider floorboarding any rig with big tires "deadly force" only use when necessary!

I love this setup thus far. It is the best swap I have done. I have owned 4 swapped cruisers to date.

I have a rough figure on only city driving MPG of 10 mpg. It was a half tank and we will see if it betters. I dont expect much more than 12-13. My mother and father both have denalis and city 15 is about all they get with that motor. I am putting a set of 40" yoko geolandars on soon an I feel that will make a difference.

On a sidenote I just purchased a set of "street" wheels and tires. The bias swampers are not good on the street and wear super quick. So I choose a 40 x 13.5 x 18 Yokohoma Geolandar MT with a Moto metal 18 x 9 wheel. The difference in drivability is night and day better. I can now cruise down the highway at 70mph at about 2k rpms. Truly unbelievable difference. the rig rolls easier and seems to cruise with alot less drag. We will see if MPG goes up.

Exhaust flex check, no bumpstops, Slee 6" 39.5" swampers. really close but clears. Adding fox air bumpstops soon.

Oh boy 10 mpg after you put ls2...Should be around 15-17 mpg. I have ls1 Camaros and average 17 mpg in city/high traffics

Yeah except this is a different engine, LS2 and it is a 6000lb truck with huge lift and set of 40's on it.

17 in an Ls1 powered F-body is low. All three of the ones i've owned averaged from 21 to 24 mixed driving, but they were all 6 speeds.

Heck, I thought I posted pics of the paintjob. Here is one. the 80 spent most of the summer at the bodyshop getting a oem green repaint. It looks great. I have been reading up on the audio threads. I am looking to put a nice, but not the ultimate system in it. No video, small sub etc. I am truly confused. too many opinions and options out there. Any mud audio gurus out there I would appreciate your thoughts. Thanks Kirk
